A woman in Indiana lost it over her boyfriend cheating on her and allegedly clipped him with her car in a parking lot, backed over him with the vehicle, and then ran over the guy again to make sure he was dead.

The reported murder took place outside of Tilly’s Pub in Indiana at approximately 12:30 am on June 3. Gaylyn Morris, 26, reportedly tracked her wayward boyfriend, Andre Smith, 26, with an Apple AirTag and a GPS, according to a “probable cause” affidavit. She believed he was cheating on her, the Indianapolis Star reported.

Morris had already allegedly gotten violent in the pub before hitting Smith. She allegedly swung a wine bottle at the other woman involved with her boyfriend. Smith stopped it from hitting the woman and the three of them were asked to leave the establishment by the staff. The woman who was with Smith stayed inside to wait for a food order.

Morris and Smith went into the parking lot at that point. A witness told police that she witnessed Morris pulling forward and clipping Smith with her car in the parking lot.

“And he went down, at which time… [Morris] then backed over him and then pulled forward and hit him for the third time,” the “probable cause” affidavit recounts.

Morris then went after the woman. She got out of her car and ran after her but the police stopped her and took her into custody. The woman who had been with Smith was not harmed in the altercation.

Medics with the Indianapolis Fire Department pronounced Smith dead at the scene. The Marion County Coroner’s Office determined he died from being intentionally hit by a vehicle.

“Officers arrived and located Mr. Smith laying on the ground underneath a vehicle,” Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement. “It appeared he was struck by the vehicle. Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) Engine Company 6 responded and unfortunately pronounced Mr. Smith deceased at the scene.”

“I’m quite sure since this is a pub and grill and it is late at night, that there are quite a few people who were here that left the scene because they didn’t want to get involved,” Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Capt. Don Weilhammer said concerning the incident, according to WISH. “This is where we do need them to get involved, and call us, and get us any information they saw regarding this.”

Morris is now sitting in the Marion County Jail facing a preliminary charge of murder, according to online jail records. Local authorities noted that the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the charges and whether additional ones should be filed against her.

The suspect is slated to appear in court on Tuesday, according to Law and Crime.

Apple AirTags are small, coin-sized devices that can be attached to items such as keys and other personal objects so that they can be tracked down if they are misplaced. The $30 device is, unfortunately, also used to stalk and track people.
