Liz Cheney talks grand ‘conspiracy’ in warm up for televised J6 spectacle, calls Trump voters ‘a cult’

Malicious actor Liz Cheney is warming up for her starring role in the Nancy Pelosi production of the nationally televised Soviet-style show trials featuring the House Select Committee on the so-called “insurrection” which makes its primetime debut this week.

The embattled Wyoming congresswoman and daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney has been carrying the torch of the discredited anti-Trump Republican establishment which has engaged in a de facto merger with the Democratic party to block the former president from the 2024 ballot, with a return of a vengeful Donald J. Trump to the swamp being the ultimate nightmare scenario for the corrupt ruling political class.

Rep. Cheney was given a forum by CBS News to smear and slander Trump supporters and promote her conspiracy theories to fuel the J6 committee’s public spectacle which will pull out all the stops to convince as many gullible Americans as possible that the actions of a ragtag bunch of protesters – some of who got out of control – at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 as a legitimate coup to overthrow the entire government of the United States, an utterly ridiculous idea that nonetheless, has become the official narrative.

According to Cheney whose talk with CBS News reporter Robert Costa aired on “CBS Sunday Morning” the hour is dark and the entire republic is in grave peril from Trump and the 74 million Americans who voted for him who she likened to a cult.

“We have too many people now in the Republican party who are not taking their responsibility seriously and who have pledged their allegiance and loyalty to Donald Trump.” Cheney told Costa.

“I mean it is fundamentally antithetical, it is contrary to everything conservatives believe to embrace a personality cult,” she added, “and yet, that is what so many in my party are doing today.”

“Is the Republican party a personality cult?” Costa asked.

“I think that large segments of it have certainly become that,” Cheney replied.”

“A cult?” Costa asked again.

“Yeah. I mean, I think there is absolutely a cult of personality around Donald Trump,” responded Cheney. “And I think that, you know, the majority of Republicans across the country don’t want to see our system unravel. They understand how important it is to protect and defend the Constitution.”

“You know, we are not in a situation where former President Trump has expressed any sense of remorse about what happened,” she also said. “We are in fact in a situation where he continues to use even more extreme language, frankly, than the language that caused the attack. And so, people must pay attention. People must watch, and they must understand how easily our democratic system can unravel if we don’t defend it.”

Cheney’s gaslighting comes on the weekend after Trump held a rally in her own backyard of Casper, Wyoming where he campaigned on behalf of her opponent in the upcoming Republican party primary and to assail her as the very embodiment of the fetid foulness of the D.C. swamp, at one point an image of Cheney with former President George W. Bush’s face appeared on the screen at the Wyoming center.

“I think she looks good, she looks nice,” jabbed Trump after tearing into his nemesis as “the face of the Washington swamp and the same failed foreign policy of the Clintons, Bushes, the Obamas, the Bidens and the entire sick political establishment

Cheney and the rest of the swamp will have their moment in the sun beginning this week but the question is whether anyone outside of the deep blue coastal establishment strongholds will bother to tune into Pelosi’s farce.

After all, it isn’t as if Americans don’t have more pressing issues to worry about including gas prices that continue to skyrocket with no end in sight, laying waste to the household budgets of ordinary people and their families while their so-called elected “representatives” waste their time with cynical political games.
