‘Liz, you’re fired!’ Trump slams Pelosi ‘lapdog’ in her backyard, calls Cheney ‘face of Washington swamp’

Former President Donald Trump traveled to “RINO” Rep. Liz Cheney’s home state this Saturday to “fire” the reviled legislator for being the “face of the Washington swamp.”

The former president specifically traveled to Casper, Wyoming to rally on behalf of Harriet Hageman, the woman hoping to unseat Cheney.

During the rally, he slammed the legislator multiple times, even going so far as to display a photoshopped meme image showing former President George W. Bush’s face imposed over her own.

“She’s the face of the Washington swamp and the same failed foreign policy of the Clintons, Bushes, the Obamas, Bidens, and the entire sick political establishment,” he said.

“She looks nice,” Trump then quipped as the image of Bush/Cheney appeared on a screen to the right of him:

“But Liz Cheney is about America last. She’s weak on border security. … It’s time you finally had a representative who will put America first and who’s looking to make America great again,” the former president continued.

He reiterated the Cheney is pro-war theme several times throughout the rally.

“The Cheneys are diehard globalists and warmongers who have been plunging us into new conflicts for decades, spilling American blood and spending American treasure all over the world. That’s why Liz Cheney voted no on bringing our troops back home from Syria, where they didn’t even want to have us,” he said at one point.

“Cheney is at the front of the parade trying to get us to go into wars with Russia or anyone else that wants to bite,” he added.

The part about Syria was a reference to when Cheney bashed then-President Trump in 2019 for announcing his intention to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria.

“Wyoming thought you were electing a conservative warrior, but instead you got a lapdog for Pelosi and a human sound bite machine for CNN and MSDNC,” the former president said at another point during the rally.

“Liz Cheney hates the voters of the Republican Party and she has for longer than you know. Wyoming deserves a congresswoman who stands up for you and your values, not one who spends all of her time putting you down and going after your president in the most vicious way possible.”

Moving on to Cheney’s involvement with the Jan. 6th commission, he recalled how she was “thrown out of the House Republican leadership,” “censured by the Republican National Committee,” and even “censured by the Wyoming GOP” because of her traitorous actions.

He then gave a shout-out to Wyoming GOP chair Frank Eathorne Jr. before stating bluntly that Cheney will be “fired” come Wyoming’s primary elections in August.

“I love the Wyoming GOP. We have Frank here, I’ll introduce him, but I’m very proud of Frank. And that’s why in two months from now, the people of Wyoming are going to tell her, Liz, you’re fired — get out of here!” he said.

Also speaking at the rally was firebrand Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert, who too aimed fury and fury at Cheney.

“I am a professional RINO hunter. It has been brought to my attention that your RINO in chief needs to be taken out of Wyoming,” she said to loud applause.

“I have not found a three-letter agency that Liz Cheney does not want to grow, a CNN interview that she does not want to take, or a war that she does not want to engage in and fund with your tax dollars. And that is why we are taking her out and putting in Harriet Hageman.”

As it stands, Cheney is poised to lose “bigly” to Hageman.

“Little public polling about Cheney’s chances against Hageman has been conducted in Wyoming, but the data that has emerged hasn’t boded well for the GOP congresswoman’s chances in the state’s August primary. Polling conducted from May 24 to 25 by Club for Growth, which opposes Cheney’s reelection, showed the incumbent trailing Hageman by 30 points,” according to Newsweek.

“The survey had Hageman with 56 percent among Wyoming Republicans compared to just 26 percent for Cheney. The poll included 400 likely GOP primary voters and had a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percent, with a 95 percent confidence level.”

Speaking on her own behalf, Hageman said that everyone is fed-up with not just the Biden administration, but with its ardent supporters, including Liz Cheney.

“There has been one overriding theme that I have heard over and over and over again, and that is we’re fed-up. We’re fed-up with a federal government that doesn’t seem to work for us anymore, we’re fed-up with out of control spending, and … we’re fed up with Liz Cheney,” she said.
