Pelosi’s husband reportedly killed his 19-yr-old brother in ‘joyride crash’ in 1957

Nancy Pelosi’s husband reportedly was at fault in the “joyride” crash that killed his older brother in 1957 when he flipped his sports car in California, 65 years before he would be busted for a DUI.

Paul Pelosi was only 16 when he crashed his car near San Mateo, California very early in the morning on Feb. 22, 1957, according to the Daily Mail. The San Francisco Examiner reported at the time that David Pelosi was 19 and it is believed he was strangled by a neck brace he was wearing due to a previous neck fracture that he incurred when diving into shallow water at Lake Tahoe.

Paul Pelosi suffered a broken collarbone in the accident. He called for help after extricating himself from the car.

According to Highway Patrolman Thomas Ganley, Nancy Pelosi’s future husband stated that the older brother urged him to slow down just before the crash happened.

“This is a bad stretch — better slow down,” David Pelosi allegedly told his brother.

Paul Pelosi is said to have told the police that he attempted to shift gears to slow down, but lost control of the car and it flipped.

“The car veered across the road, bounced back from a small embankment, climbed 20 feet up another, spun around and somersaulted simultaneously and ended upside down on the shoulder with both youths underneath,” the San Francisco Examiner reported.

The older brother was pinned under the car.

“They jacked up the car to relieve the pressure but the youth apparently was already dead,” the San Mateo Times ostensibly reported at the time.

David Pelosi, a freshman at the College of San Mateo, was pronounced dead after being transported to Mills Memorial Hospital in San Mateo.

The brothers went out for a “joyride” after Paul Pelosi picked up his brother from a girlfriend’s house.

The officer on the scene intended to cite the younger brother for misdemeanor manslaughter, but the case somehow never went to court and Paul Pelosi was exonerated by a coroner’s jury.

The story surfaced following Paul Pelosi’s involvement in an alleged drunken crash in Napa Valley on Saturday night. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reportedly won’t comment on the accident.

He was driving home from a dinner party when the accident occurred, his attorney told Fox News. According to the lawyer, Pelosi had stopped at an intersection before he turned onto State Route 29. Then his 2021 Porsche “was hit on the back fender by a Jeep.”

Pelosi was charged with one count of driving under the influence and another for driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher. Both charges are misdemeanors. No one was reportedly injured in the altercation and he has been released on $5,000 bail.

Paul Pelosi is 82-years-old. He and his wife, who is also 82, have been married since 1963. Both come from politically powerful and wealthy families. As the owner of Financial Leasing Services, he has amassed a personal fortune of approximately $135 million, making his wife one of the richest members of Congress.

The fatal accident occurred six years before Paul Pelosi married Nancy D’Alesandro, the daughter of a former Baltimore mayor. She went on to be elected to Congress in 1987 and then became the first female Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Fox News host Jesse Watters found the circumstances surrounding Paul Pelosi’s accident suspicious and the fact that his wife was not with him curious.

“First of all,” Watters noted, “have you ever been to a dinner party without your significant other? Me neither. I think there’s more to the story.”

Watters would go on to note that no one was able to obtain a mugshot of Paul Pelosi.

“All I know is someone’s going through a lot of trouble to keep this mugshot hidden,” he asserted.
