A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a now-former Oklahoma Middle School teacher after allegations were made that she sent nude photos to a student.

Ivy Reneau, 28, was a seventh-grade science teacher and an assistant soccer coach at Midwest City Middle School. Now she is facing felony charges after a faculty member overheard a 16-year-old student telling a classmate that “he had been sent nude pictures by a teacher.”

According to court documents obtained by KFOR, the illicit behavior began when Reneau met the minor at a practice on the soccer field shared by the high school and middle school. It was there she allegedly told him that she had “heard rumors that he liked her and wanted to watch her run.”

Following the encounter, Reneau was said to have added the student to her Snapchat account through which she allegedly sent three or four nude photos and an inappropriate video. At least one of the photos was of her topless while another was said to feature her “posing in front of the mirror sideways with no clothes on her breast was exposed along with her butt.”

Patrick Allmond, a social media expert, explained, “One of the advantages of Snapchat has been that you can send it to someone, it’s very short, it’s very quick and then it disappears and theoretically, it’s gone forever.”

However, court documents stated that the student had shared the images with his teammates. “Before you hit send, you should assume that you might as well be taking that picture and posting it on a billboard,” Allmond said.

When Reneau was first questioned by the authorities she claimed that her relationship with the student never went beyond the images and that, “they talked about hanging out one time, but never went through with it.”

She also claimed that she believed the high school student was 18-years-old and that he had extorted her for payments via Cash App threatening “he could ruin her career over the pictures.” Reneau reported sending the boy $120.

A statement from the Mid-Del School District was sent to KFOR reporting, “District officials were notified of an alleged relationship between a Mid-Del staff member and a student. We reported the information to law enforcement so that they could begin an investigation. The staff member is no longer employed by Mid-Del Schools, and we have worked closely with the family of the student in the wake of this accusation. We will continue to fully cooperate with the authorities.”

Reneau is now facing a felony charge for “Using Technology to Engage in Communication for Sexual or Prurient Interest with a Minor” and a warrant was issued for arrest on May 26. At the time of this posting, she was reported as not yet taken into custody.
