Kellyanne Conway blasts ‘shrewd and calculating’ Jared Kushner in new book

Former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway has a new book coming out called, “Here’s the Deal: A Memoir,” which purportedly blasts former President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, calling him “shrewd and calculating” while asserting that he had an unassailable position of power.

“Conway reserves some of her harshest criticism for Jared Kushner, Ivanka’s husband and a Trump senior adviser, whom she describes as ‘shrewd and calculating’; ‘a man of knowing nods, quizzical looks, and sidebar inquiries’; and someone who, as the president’s son-in-law, knew that ‘no matter how disastrous a personnel change or legislative attempt may be, he was unlikely to be held accountable for it,'” The Washington Post reported.

“There was no subject he considered beyond his expertise. Criminal justice reform. Middle East peace. The southern and northern borders. Veterans and opioids. Big Tech and small business,” Conway claimed. “If Martian attacks had come across the radar, he would have happily added them to his ever-bulging portfolio. He’d have made sure you knew he’d exiled the Martians to Uranus and insisted he did not care who got credit for it. He misread the Constitution in one crucial respect, thinking that all power not given to the federal government was reserved to him.”

Trump’s former campaign manager reportedly details in her book that part of Kushner’s “schemes and dreams,” was his nixed immigration rollout plan where he suggested Trump “go to Ellis Island, where he’d stand at the foot of the Statue of Liberty to lead a naturalization ceremony.”

There was evidently a falling out between Conway and Kushner over an accusation he made that she had leaked to the media. She denies ever doing so.

Despite Conway’s bitter words towards Kushner, his accomplishments during the Trump administration include a criminal justice reform bill, the USMCA trade deal, the Abraham Accords in the Middle East, and Operation Warp Speed.

She is married to George Conway, a notorious Never-Trumper who was highly critical of Trump during the former president’s tenure.

Conway contends in the book that Trump defended her more than her own husband did.

“I had two men in my life. One was my husband. One was my boss, who happened to be president of the United States. One of those men was defending me. And it wasn’t George Conway. It was Donald Trump,” she wrote.

She noted that her husband would often fail to disclose things he was involved in that would result in public fallout for her and the Trump administration.

“Everything George did during this time, I found out about it after it happened or as it was happening,” she stated in her book. “It was sneaky, almost sinister. Why not own it, share it, sneer in my face with a copy of tomorrow’s Washington Post op-ed or next week’s Lincoln Project ad?”

“Night after night, I would come home from a busy day at work… While I was minding dishes, dogs, laundry, managing adolescent dramas and traumas, George would be just steps away from me, tucked away in his home office, plotting against my boss and me,” Conway continued.

Conway also wrote about Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump who is married to Jared Kushner. She claims that Ivanka left her a post-it note with recommendations for a marriage counselor.

The bombshell book also alleges that Trump questioned his run for the presidency following the release of the “Access Hollywood” tape.

“Should I get out [of the race]?” Trump allegedly asked Conway.

“You actually can’t,” Conway responded, “unless you want to forfeit and throw the whole damn thing to Hillary.”

“I know you don’t like to lose,” she told Trump, “but I also know you don’t like to quit.”

Conway claims in her book that she told Trump at the time that his words on the tape were “disgusting” and “reprehensible.”

The book is set to be released on Tuesday and Conway is making the rounds promoting it.
