Pained NYT journo describes what it’s like to watch Tucker: ‘Way more dangerous than anybody realizes’

Tucker Carlson, in case you didn’t know, is the most dangerous man on television.

At least that’s according to Nicholas Confessore and Karen Yourish, two hacks from The New York Times whose job it was to delve into the sordid world of Fox News primetime television and then write a three-part hit piece on Tucker Carlson’s popular program.

So while dedicated journalists like Benjamin Hall are risking life and limb reporting from war-torn Ukraine, Confessore and Yourish are risking their mental health by watching conservative television programming—and they’ll probably never recover from the shock.

Their “deep-dive” consisted of watching endless hours of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” and one can only hope that perhaps they actually learned something useful about the country from the instructive viewing. They may even transform into closeted right-wingers, which will make working at The New York Times a difficult prospect going forward.

Confessore, who wrote the articles, and Yourish, who was the series’ graphic artist, both appeared on Nicolle Wallace’s program on MSNBC to discuss their work.

“What is—does everyone at Fox like him and agree with [Carlson]?” Wallace asked Confessore.

“It doesn’t really matter,” Confessore replied, “because what Fox is really good at, is getting the most people to watch the shows.”

“They’re a ratings machine, definitely,” Wallace concurred, “but at what cost? I mean Chris Wallace left. Does that not bother anybody? Does no one prefer to be associated with Chris Wallace’s form of television than Tucker Carlson’s?”

Confessore then went on to explain that Fox News apparently experienced a “low-grade civil war” during the Trump presidency, wherein primetime personalities like Tucker Carlson allegedly staged a kind of coup and began setting the news agenda for the entire network.

“They’re giving less airtime overall to their own reports,” Confessore continued, “and they’re giving less airtime to people who are either anti-Trump conservatives, or middle-of-the-road, or liberals. This is not to say Fox doesn’t do journalism. They have people in Ukraine at great risk, they’ve covered a lot of big stories. But, they really are changing the emphasis, they’re making their dayside shows more and more like primetime, because that is what Fox does best, as their chief executive says.”

Wallace then asked Yourish to chime in on what it was like to watch “all these hours of Tucker Carlson’s show.”

“It was revealing in a way that I can’t even describe,” Yourish said, with a pained expression on her face.

“I mean, I had no idea. I had not watched the show before this project, and once I did, I realized that what we wanted to do would create…would be to create an immersive experience so that the people who read The New York Times, who most likely don’t watch the show on a regular basis, could feel what it’s like, because I think it’s easy to dismiss…um, to dismiss what he is saying as, you know, just another cable TV news host. But he’s way more powerful and the content is way more dangerous than I think what anybody realizes unless you’re watching the show on a daily basis,” she contended.

Tucker Carlson must be pleased. There can hardly be any greater compliment than to be called “dangerous” by New York Times reporters.

  1. I don’t know why we are supposed to laugh at her. It would pain me and almost kill me if I had to watch even 5 minutes of Madcow. Or the The View. (UNfortunately, I have to see it on my conservative media). LoL 😂

  2. That’s the best they can do after watching endless hours of Tucker’s show? That is somewhat disappointing.

  3. I have a suggestion for those so called objective “reporters”. Call Tucker up and ask to be on his show. This way you can present your side to the hostile audience and they can decide who’s right. Like that’s ever going to happen!

  4. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha……..Paranoid Schizophrenic.

  5. “Tucker Carlson, in case you didn’t know, is the most dangerous man on television”
ONLY IF YOU ARE A COMMUNIST!!!!!!!

  6. Why can’t these unhinged, angry, violent leftists just shut up….no one is interested in their thoughts based on their low IQ, lack of intelligence in terms of definitions, left-privileged, anti-American dogma.

  7. Aw, Confessore and Yourish, what’s the matter, did Tucker hurt your sensitivities? Show us on the little doll where Tucker’s remarks hurt you? Grow up, you’re biologically adults, but psychlogically, you’re two-year-olds. I’m not even interested in anything you have to say or write. Grow up!!!!

  8. Tucker continues to ask questions everyone should be asking. That’s what real journalists do (though he doesn’t claim to be a journalist). He scares the hell out of the left by showing us who they are.

  9. Seeing a real journalist has GOT to be terrifying to a fake news writer at the NYT. Tucker probably scares the shit out of them.

  10. Tucker is an intellectual breath of fresh air…. He doesn’t seek to be popular, instead he takes an informed position that is designed to expand the audiences awareness of the facts surrounding an issue, or that the issue even exists. All the while, the other hosts on main media are spewing echo-chamber pablum that is intellectually dishonest and mostly untrue and miserable!.

  11. ‘Dangerous’ how? It’s always hyperbole with the intellectually dishonest Left. All show, no substance. Howling at the moon.

  12. I had no idea how stupid people on msnbc are. OMG what thin skin. Babling with no examples. Maybe she started to agree with Tucker and found that dangerous

  13. Tucker must be doing/saying something right for you swampees to hate him… Like telling the truth. Tucker, my honest hero!

  14. These are grown ass adults who have no control over their emotions. They need to learn how to cope with things that they don’t like or upset them. So many of us, including Tucker, have been called racists so many times by now that the word has lost all meaning. Being called a racist used to be the worst thing someone could be called. Not anymore. People use it against those that they disagree with, not people who are actually racist.

  15. Come on and admit it. You don’t like Tucker for the same reason you don’t like President Trump.
    It’s his hair isn’t it.

  16. “They’re a ratings machine, definitely,” Wallace concurred, “but at what cost?”

Fox destroys all of other networks because it’s one of very few places you can go to hear the truth.

msnbc, cnn, nbc, cbs… they’re a bunch of nutjobs running a circus of hyperbolic lies, but no one’s watching. Pathetic…

Isn’t it interesting, though, that as much as the filthy libs hate Fox, they can’t come up with a single intentional lie that anyone on Fox has ever told. However, I could come up with 50 lies these other networks have told without even breaking a sweat. And ten times that if we include lying by omission.

  17. The NYT and anyone who works there has ZERO credibility, they all are POS’s

  18. Hey, Yourish! That’s the same expression you had when your bull d**ke azz f***ed you with the s trap on!

  19. This snowflake is devoid of all reality, for a reality check, send her Ukraine and put her on the front line to fight the Russians. I heard they are evaporating people. She will never be scared again.

  20. I’m a middle-ground voter and leaning right more and more each day (I have doubts I will ever vote Democratic again). I watch several different newscasts, all with their own biases. I liked Tucker when he first came to Fox. Lately, I have come to the conclusion that Tucker has moved way too far right for my tastes. I used to watch him daily for my daily dose of the right (with alternating CNN and MSNBC for my left) biased information. Since both sides tend to only give you the information that supports their own agendas, be it lies, half-truths, or exaggerations, I try to find some kind of middle ground to form my own opinions. I see talking heads, on both sides, as being dangerous for those who cannot think for themselves OR for those who only seek their information from a single source. I recently found News Nation and, so far, am impressed that they appear to be trying to show both sides of each story. Last night, though, I did see one of their sources who appeared to be very leftist speaking, however, they did have others to balance out his opinionated responses to the story they were covering. I’ll be watching this new source to see if they continue to try and show all sides of the issues, or if they suddenly show any sign of having a left or right agenda.

    1. I’m sincerely impressed with your post and your open minded actions of trying to find a reliable unbiased news source. I have been a dedicated Fox News watcher since Obama. I really tried to get balanced information by watching CNN and or Network News. I just always felt dirty after watching any left leaning news casts. There are several opinion hosts that I watch occasionally beginning at 5:00. Bret Bair is also a favorite of mine as he does work very hard at being “fair and balanced”. I realize the other Prime Time host ARE opinion and not journalism. They’ve said so themselves. Tucker Carlson is incredibly bright and makes really good points. He’s only evil and dangerous for the same reasons Elon Musk has become evil and dangerous. The are smart men who do don’t believe in the current atmosphere of group think, and censorship.

  21. Goes both ways. Watching MSNBC for a few minutes makes me realize the dangers of the other side. It’s manipulation at best. Straight forward most of us would call it lies. I’m confused as to why such distortions.

    1. Agreed. This homely woman has a mental disorder, than can quickly be tamed with a strait jacket and a hefty dose of Thorazine.

  22. Is this a prelude to an investigation by the new disinformation squad 🤔
