Tesla CEO Elon Musk was highly amused by a Babylon Bee video that mocked a Twitter employee for melting down over his buying the social media platform because he dares to reinstate free speech, which got it ironically flagged for sensitive content.
The conservative satire site had a ball with the video in more ways than one and even though Musk is in the midst of taking over, they still got zinged for it according to The Babylon Bee.
“Our video mocking Twitter employees for being too sensitive was flagged by Twitter for sensitive content,” Babylon Bee editor-in-chief Kyle Mann tweeted after the clip was flagged.
Musk saw the video via Mann’s tweet and retweeted it with two laughing emojis. Musk has sat down with the crew of The Babylon Bee previously to do an interview before the outlet was banned on Twitter for awarding transgender Assistant Secretary of Health Rachel Levine “Man of the Year.”
He’s a huge fan of the gang over there and discussed The Babylon Bee being banned from Twitter shortly before he made his move to take over the social media platform.
The funniest part is, Twitter suspending The Babylon Bee for "hate speech" is what probably pushed @ElonMusk over the edge and made him decide to buy it! 😂 (Not a joke)

The powers-that-be at Twitter told The Babylon Bee they could unlock their account if they deleted the tweet. The satirical giant proceeded to tell Twitter what they could do with their suggestion and vowed they would not delete the tweet. They haven’t and are still in Twitter jail for it.

Even in exile, the force that is The Babylon Bee can’t be stopped. Since being exiled, they have picked up over 200,000 new followers.

In the video, a Twitter employee named Mandie sits down in an on-site psychologist’s office to discuss being traumatized by the sale of Twitter To Musk.
“If he buys our free speech platform, people will be able to have free speech on our platform,” she claims obviously horrified beyond her limited vocabulary and mental capacity. She goes on to say “she can’t even” and then is told she’s in a “safe space” after making sure she wasn’t “misgendered.”
Mandie goes on to assert that “everyone who disagrees with me is a Nazi,” while talking about forcing people to comply and threatening violence.
She then goes into a paranoid frenzy seeing Elon Musk everywhere before running out of the office screaming hysterically.
.@TheBabylonBee was suspended from @Twitter & @elonmusk bought it. Will #FreeSpeech be restored? We hope so. The Bee’s CEO @SethDillon gives us his take. As Musk works to finalize the Twitter deal he has come under heavy attack from the left and is being scrutinized. The SpaceX mogul has little sympathy for those undermining him and he’s not in the least cowed or afraid of those gunning for him.
Musk has stated that he is a “free speech absolutist” and has heavily criticized Twitter for banning people and suppressing news stories such as the one from the New York Post on Hunter Biden’s laptop-from-Hell. He wants to make at least portions of Twitter’s code open source and he’s not a fan of algorithms used to censor users.
Although The Babylon Bee video is a parody, it’s apparently not that far from reality.
There are so many amusing aspects to the utter panic and meltdown of corporate media employees at the prospect of Musk’s control of Twitter.
Perhaps the funniest are ones who work at huge corporations owned by Bezos other billionaires are lamenting billionaire control of media.

According to the New York Post, leaked internal communications by Twitter employees show just how unhinged they have become over the acquisition of the company. Via the business communication platform Slack, some employees evidently came unglued.
“Physically cringy watching Elon talk about free speech,” a site reliability engineer who identifies as a nonbinary transgender and plural person carped.
“We’re all going through the five stages of grief in cycles and everyone’s nerves are frazzled,” wrote a senior staff software engineer before calling Musk an “a**hole.” “We’re all spinning our wheels, and coming up with worst-case scenarios (Trump returns! No more moderation!). The fact is that [Musk] has not talked about what he’s planning on doing in any detail outside of broad sweeping statements that could be easily seen as hyperbolic showboating.”
A senior staff video engineer threatened to quit, “Not the place to say it perhaps, but I will not work for this company after the takeover.”
