Elon Musk compares Bill Gates to pregnant man emoji in scathing tweet

Entrepreneur Elon Musk continued to assert himself as the alpha male of the billionaire class late Friday when he took a shot at woke culture, opponents to free speech, and business peer Bill Gates with one tweet.

By Thursday, Musk had made clear that he had secured enough funding to have another go at buying Twitter outright with the backing of some investors. The tender offer would appeal directly to shareholders and, if successful, would allow him to gain a controlling interest in the social media company.

The hopeful investor has promised that he would be changing the culture at the company to follow in line with his admitted position of free speech absolutism. In a snarky demonstration of his stance, Musk followed up some interesting revelations about Gates with a dig at the Microsoft co-founder.

The side-by-side comparison of Gates with the recently added “pregnant man” emoji was captioned “in case u need to lose a b*ner fast.”

Musk acknowledged that he was skirting the lines of what is currently acceptable on the platform and followed up his post by mocking Twitters censors. The image of six dark hooded figures was detailed as, “shadow ban council reviewing tweet.”

Those who are fearful of having their echo chamber sullied by Musk’s proposals to do away with manipulated algorithms, drastically change the censorship policy, and authenticate all users deemed “real humans” were understandably in a tizzy over the posts.

Those who were busy calling out Musk for what they thought was an unwarranted attack while defending Gates as a selfless philanthropist would have done well to look into how this post came to be.

The Tesla founder didn’t just suddenly get a bee in his bonnet to mock Gates’ physical attributes. Aside from them having consistently gone back and forth at one another publicly for years now, a text message conversation alleged to be between the billionaires revealed Gates may be threatening financial harm to Musk.

In the text exchange, Musk allegedly asked Gates, “Do you still have a half billion dollar short position against Tesla?”

“Sorry to say I haven’t closed it out. I would like to discuss philanthropy possibilities,” the climate activist reportedly responded.

“Sorry, but I cannot take your philanthropy on climate change seriously when you have a massive short position against Tesla, the company doing the most to solve climate change,” Musk fired back. He had responded to this post confirming the validity of the conversation shortly before mocking Gates’ appearance.

“Yeah, but I didn’t leak it to NYT. They must have got it through friends of friends,” he wrote. “I heard from multiple people at TED that Gates still had half billion short against Tesla, which is why I asked him, so it’s not exactly top secret.”

According to the Daily Mail, Musk’s tender offer for Twitter is in part possible by the $3.3 billion quarterly profit he posted from Tesla. If Gates is looking to short Tesla stock, he would be betting on the value of Tesla dropping for him to buy it back later for a lower price.

If true, Musk is successfully bringing attention to the unscrupulous business practices of one of his rivals whom he then would have rightfully called out as an unserious philanthropist solely out to maintain his own benefit.

Musk has said as much in the pas,t pointing out in 2020, “My conversations with Gates have been underwhelming tbh (to be honest).”

At least one person took this as a learning experience.
