President Joe Biden gave a speech honoring nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson on her SCOTUS confirmation Friday and seemed to lose his place while claiming that America can be defined by one word, rambling off into a story about traveling with Xi Jinping in the foothills of the Himalayas.

“America’s a nation that can be defined in a single word… I was in the foothills of the Himalayas with Xi Jinping, traveling with him, that’s when I traveled 17,000 miles when I was vice president. I don’t know that for a fact,” Biden incoherently recounted, obviously veering way off-script.

Even Biden seems to have a hard time believing that whopper.

Aside from the apparent brain freeze, the traveling with Xi Jinping claim was shown to be inaccurate by  The Washington Post.

A fact-check by the media outlet shows that Biden never traveled anywhere close to 17,000 miles with the communist dictator. He did spend a great deal of time with Xi, but they “often did not even travel parallel routes to their gatherings, let alone physically together.”

According to a White House official who spoke with CNN, Biden was referring to the total amount of travel back and forth to China and as well as in the U.S. for meetings that the pair attended.

Knowing that it was untrue before the word-salad speech begs the question of why he would say it again or why he would even bring up spending time with Xi during his speech recognizing Jackson joining the high court.

Also during Biden’s speech, the president claimed that the economy created 1.3 million new jobs in 100 days, “More jobs in the first 100 days than any president on record.”

According to the Independent, there are 8.5 million fewer jobs than there were before the pandemic hit.

The incoherent clip instantly went viral on social media:
