Ex-U.S. Sen. David Perdue says that failed 2018 candidate for Georgia governor and voting rights activist Stacey Abrams, who is running for the same office again, is “a fraud” and made a bold prediction about her political future.

That payback-motivated Joe Biden has placed her sister, a federal judge, on the shortlist for the Supreme Court nomination “is as corrupt as it gets,” the ex-lawmaker insisted.

“Stacey Abrams will never be governor of Georgia for one reason: she’s a fraud,” Perdue asserted about the far-left Democrat and potential rival for the job on the Fox News show “Sunday Morning Futures,” hosted by Maria Bartiromo.

“What she has done is materialized a lie over the last three years of voter suppression in Georgia, and she can never be governor,” he continued in the interview embedded here in two parts, during which he underscored the importance of restoring confidence in the voting system for the state electorate.

“She didn’t even go to the meeting with Joe Biden. When he came down there to talk about our ‘racist voter suppression laws,’ she wouldn’t even stand on the podium with him when he came to Georgia. And now we see him considering her sister for the Supreme Court. I mean, this is as corrupt as it gets, Maria,” he contended.

Bartiromo also pointed out that Judge Leslie Abrams Gardner reportedly refused to step aside from a case in which she prevented voter rolls from being updated.

“It was a totally corrupt decision. She should have recused herself. She should never be a candidate for the Supreme Court. This is nothing but payback for all the help that Stacey Abrams gave to Joe Biden in 2020,” Perdue claimed.

According to Bartiromo, President Biden has boasted that he could “rule the world” if he had ten Stacey Abrams working on his behalf.

Trump-endorsed Perdue, who obviously is championing voting integrity, is attempting to unseat incumbent GOP Gov. Brian Kemp in the May 24, 2022, GOP primary.

Republican officials in Georgia from Kemp on down had inexplicably entered into a prior agreement with Abrams to water down the state’s election laws, which is apparently why Perdue is challenging a sitting governor of his own party, as he explained to Bartiromo.

Pro-Trump, former Democrat-turned-Republican state Rep. Vernon Jones was also going to primary Kemp before deciding to seek a seat in Congress.

In the end, the Abrams-augmented procedures arguably handed the state’s presidential electoral votes to Joe Biden and the U.S. Senate to the Democrats. Perdue narrowly lost a runoff to Democrat Jon Ossoff.

After the election, Kemp signed a law that tightened up voting procedures, which caused the Democrats from Biden on down and their corporate media allies to hyperventilate.

Perdue implied that more needs to be done to reassure legal voters that their votes will count.

In the meantime, he said his team is thoroughly training poll watchers for this year’s election cycle.

“I’m not an officer in the state, so we have to rely on these guys that didn’t do it last year…more importantly, if we want to get this fixed, I’ve got to get elected to make sure that we enforce the laws in Georgia going forward,” he said.

Earlier in the interview, Perdue said that he became a gubernatorial candidate as a way to bring together a divided Georgia Republican Party.

The division “was caused by Brian Kemp, and it’s really over the elections of 2020. Brian Kemp caved in to Stacey Abrams and allowed her to manipulate our elections in 2020, and we saw the outcome. It cost us two U.S. Senate seats, it cost us the majority in the United States Senate and dramatically affected the outcome of the presidential race in Georgia.

“If Brian Kemp had not caved in to Stacey Abrams, we wouldn’t be in this mess, and most people in Georgia know that. So we have a divided party, and I decided to run because I didn’t want to watch this train wreck happen in Georgia and turn our governorship over to Stacey Abrams,” the ex-senator recalled.

Asserting that the liberal media is misleading the American people about voting irregularities, he also noted that he is pursuing a court case in Fulton County, Ga., that may result in a true, independent, forensic audit of absentee ballots. Previous court cases that he filed didn’t go anywhere, however.

Perdue previously called for the resignation of the incumbent GOP secretary of state in Georgia for failure to investigate.

“What we are finding is that there was significant, significant illegal activity in Georgia,” Perdue claimed about the prior elections.

The corporate media takes the position that there was no “widespread” fraud in Election 2020 and frowns upon any further discussion of the topic.

Parenthetically, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, former Congressman Trey Gowdy and some others on the GOP side of the aisle appear to be backing South Carolina Judge Michelle Childs, a purported moderate, to replace Justice Stephen Breyer on the Supreme Court.
