‘CLEAN HOUSE’: Vernon Jones demands Georgia probe, calls for resignation of Gov Kemp and Raffensberger

Georgia’s incumbent GOP governor could be “feeling the Vern” now that his rival is calling for Brian Kemp to step down.

Democrat-turned-Republican ex-state Representative Vernon Jones, who is campaigning to replace Kemp next year, is demanding the governor’s resignation because he allegedly certified a fraudulent election.

On Twitter, stalwart Trump supporter Jones, who will face Kemp in the GOP primary, didn’t mince words: “Today, in addition to @BrianKempGA resignation, I am calling for an IMMEDIATE [Georgia Bureau of Investigation] investigation into reports of duplicate ballot counts and thousands of missing chain of custody documents. Our Governor had a DUTY to do his due diligence before certifying our election. He FAILED.”

Jones separately shared an article from The Federalist, which contains new allegations that the candidate described as criminal.

“New evidence indicates that more than 10,300 illegal votes were cast in Georgia in the November 2020 general election — a number that will continue to rise over the next several months, potentially exceeding the 12,670 votes that separated Joe Biden and Donald Trump,” The Federalist claimed, even though an audit and a statewide recount confirmed Biden’s win.

This particular issue revolves around residency requirements under state law. “Under Georgia law, residents must vote in the county in which they reside, unless they changed their residence within 30 days of the election,” otherwise a vote is illegal.

Voter analytics expert Mark Davis studied the National Change of Address database and “After excluding moves with effective dates within 30 days of the general election, and by using data available from the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office, [he] identified nearly 35,000 Georgia voters who indicated they had moved from one Georgia county to another, but then voted in the 2020 general election in the county from which they had moved.

“Upon learning of this new development, the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office quietly opened an investigation into potentially illegal voting by residents who had moved between counties,” the news outlet added.

The state’s GOP leadership, including Kemp, Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, have been taking heat from former President Trump and grassroots Republicans and others for inexplicably entering into a backroom consent decree with Stacey Abrams and her left-wing cohorts, which bypassed the state legislature, that watered down election law such as minimizing signature matching for mail-in ballots while authorizing drop boxes.

In the end, a late-night ballot dump narrowly gave the state’s electoral votes to Biden (a phenomenon that occurred in key precincts in several other swing states). With the same voting rights, so called, in place, Democrats subsequently gained control of the U.S. Senate by sweeping the two January runoffs in Georgia.

Jones reiterated his call for Kemp to retire later on Thursday morning, adding Georgia Secretary of State Raffensperger to the mix:

Raffensperger also faces a primary challenge from Trump-endorsed U.S. Rep. Jody Hice.

In March 2021, Kemp signed an election integrity law — a bill that led to much hyperventilating by woke corporate CEOs — which Jones has described as too little, too late.

“I’m sick of these Republican RINOs who want to talk like Ron DeSantis, but they want to walk like Mitt Romney,” Jones has quipped. He has also called out Kemp for not banning critical race theory and failing to call for a forensic audit of the entire statewide Election 2020 vote or implementing constitutional carry.

Kemp has announced he is seeking a second term, with Abrams likely the Democrat standard-bearer again, and he was roundly booed last month when he showed up at the state GOP convention.

On Wednesday night, Fox News host Tucker Carlson gave a detailed report on the findings of an organization called VoterGA that claimed that the hand-count audit of mail-in ballot previously carried out in Fulton County in the Atlanta area was “riddled with massive errors and provable fraud.”

About two weeks ago, Jones had a mic drop moment with a CNN reporter.
