President Biden seems to be giving up on his federal COVID vaccine mandate, handing those decisions back to the individual states, while he pivots to laying the groundwork for blaming Republicans for voter suppression in the looming 2022 midterm election wipeout that is on the horizon.
“When it comes to voter suppression, it’s no longer just about making it easy for eligible people to vote—it’s about whether or not those votes will count at all. It’s simple: voter suppression is un-American, un-democratic, and unpatriotic,” Biden tweeted.
Democrats are expected to get walloped in the 2022 midterm elections due to Biden’s unpopularity and his disastrous policies. He appears to be laying the groundwork to blame Republicans for not federalizing elections, calling it by the misnomer “voter suppression.”
To clear his docket, he’s now handing responsibility for vaccine and mask mandates back to the states. It hasn’t worked for him and evidently, he’s grown weary of trying to bend Americans to his will. He’s got more important things to do such as supporting a filibuster carve-out for voting rights.

Apparently, the Democrats want to change the meaning of the word “eligible” when it comes to voting rights according to Biden’s tweet. Using “voter suppression” as a scapegoat, they also appear to be prepping their narrative for how to spin 2022 losses.
Biden says he supports making an exception to the Senate filibuster rules in order to pass voting rights legislation. He’s gearing up to do whatever it takes to federalize elections forever.

“If the only thing standing between getting voting rights legislation passed and not getting passed is the filibuster, I support making the exception of voting rights for the filibuster,” Biden told ABC News’ David Muir in an interview on Thursday morning.
In pushing to preempt state election laws, Muir asked Biden, “Are you prepared to support fundamental changes in the Senate rules to get this done?” Biden replied “yes.”
Muir then asked him, “what does that mean?” Biden said, “That means whatever it takes.”
In a letter that was sent to Democrats on Monday, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced that the Senate will consider voting rights legislation once Congress resumes in January, “as early as the first week back.”
Schumer also indicated that the Senate would consider a vote on changing the filibuster rules.
“If Senate Republicans continue to abuse the filibuster and prevent the body from considering this bill, the Senate will then consider changes to any rules which prevent us from debating and reaching final conclusion on important legislation,” he declared according to CNN.
Although Biden has previously stated that he would not support going after the filibuster, desperation seems to have shifted his viewpoint on the subject. Biden has vowed to “keep up the fight” to pass voting legislation and is urging Congress to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote Act, neither of which will get the 10 Republican votes necessary to break a filibuster.
Legal scholar Jonathan Turley called out the concerning filibuster carve-out, “Democratic members and staffers are now repeating the same phrase that they will push through immigration reform, spending bills, and other items ‘by any means necessary.’”
Americans see what Biden is pivoting towards – he’s horrifically transparent at least on this issue:
