Woman punches guy in face over mask on Delta flight, as Fauci warns of harsher restrictions

A Delta flight from Tampa to Atlanta was the scene of yet another incident sparked by COVID mask-wearing as a woman allegedly struck an elderly man for not wearing a face-covering on the flight.

The woman, identified in reports as Patricia Cornwall, railed against the man for not wearing a mask – even though he was eating on the Delta flight, according to Fox News which reported that she was taken into FBI custody on Thursday for allegedly assaulting the man and injuring flight crew members – all while she, herself, remained unmasked.

“The legacy of Fauci, CDC, WHO, NIH, Congress & every airline. This is what they’ve done to us. Merry Christmas,” radio host and vocal artist Monica Matthews tweeted about another brutal in-flight brawl over masks, sharing video footage from the Delta incident.

But the “scientists” don’t seem to care.

In an interview on ABC News’ “This Week” with host Jonathan Karl, Dr. Anthony Fauci signaled that he would support a vaccine mandate for domestic air travel in the US ostensibly because it would encourage Americans to get vaccinated, but admitted it would not make passengers any safer.

“There is no vaccine requirement for domestic air travel in the United States,” Karl said to Fauci. “And when the president was asked, ‘Should there be one?’ he said that his team has said that it was not necessary at this point. Do you agree with that, that there should not be a vaccine requirement for domestic air travel?”

“I mean, vaccine requirements for people coming in from other countries is to prevent newly infected people from getting into the country,” Fauci stated.

“A vaccine requirement for a person getting on the plane is just another level of getting people to have a mechanism that would spur them to get vaccinated,” he said, outrageously justifying why he thinks vaccine mandates should be implemented.

The proposal by Fauci contradicts what President Biden said earlier in December. He declared at the time that he did not believe a vaccine mandate on domestic flights was necessary.

“I continue to rely on the scientists and asking them whether or not we have to move beyond what we did yesterday. Right now, they’re saying no,” Biden stated.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg also said in November that he didn’t believe a mandate for domestic air travel was necessary, asserting that current mitigation strategies on planes, namely masking, were effective in stopping the spread of COVID, according to Business Insider.

“I mean, anything that could get people more vaccinated would be welcome,” Fauci declared on Sunday. “But with regard to the spread of the virus in the country, I mean, I think if you look at wearing a mask and the filtration on planes, things are reasonably safe.”

He then doubled down on a mask mandate, “We want to make sure people keep their masks on. I think the idea of taking masks off, in my mind, is really not something we should even be considering.”

“And of course, the airline CEOs were suggesting that – you know, that we may not – may no longer need a mask. I hear you loud and clearly, you disagree with that on an – on the airplane,” Karl responded.

During a U.S. Senate panel hearing on Dec. 15, Southwest Airlines CEO Gary Kelly noted that masks “don’t add much, if anything” to fight the spread of the virus on airplanes.

This is not the first time that Fauci has said that masks should be required on flights. During the Dec. 19 “This Week” show, Fauci said that he doesn’t think there will be a point where masks are unnecessary on airplanes.

“I think when you’re dealing with a closed space, even though the filtration is good that you want to go that extra step,” he declared. “When you have people, you know you get a flight from Washington to San Francisco, it’s a well over a five-hour flight.”

“Even though you have a good filtration system, I still believe that masks are a prudent thing to do and we should be doing it,” he contended.

Fauci warned this past Sunday that the seemingly relatively mild Omicron variant is “extraordinarily contagious,” attempting to give further weight to enforcing vaccine and mask mandates, not just on airlines, but throughout Americans’ daily lives.

“Every day it goes up and up. The last weekly average was about 150,000 and it likely will go much higher,” he ominously declared hyping the latest COVID variant for all it’s worth.

Fauci continues to be one of the most distrusted and disliked figures in America today:
