Four young soccer players from four different countries have all died from heart attacks in the last week adding to a growing list of athletes inexplicably dying on the playing field recently and no one seems to know why.
The latest fatalities include Croatian footballer Marin Cacic, Oman international player Mukhaled Al-Raqadi, Egyptian goalkeeper Ahmed Amin, and Algerian football player Sofiane Loukar.
Al-Raqadi was 29 years old. He died of a heart attack after collapsing during a warm-up before a domestic match with Al-Suwaiq.
He was rushed to a hospital but it was too late, according to the Oman Observer, which reported: “According to the medical reports, the reason of the death was a heart attack. The sports family in the Sultanate of Omar mourned the sudden death of the young player.”
No further details were provided.

The day that Al-Raqadi passed away, Egypt’s third division’s Al-Rebat & Al-Anwar SC goalkeeper, Ahmed Amin also succumbed to a sudden heart attack, according to KingFut.
He suffered cardiac arrest and passed out in a locker room following training with his team. A medical team did all they could to resuscitate him but failed to bring him back. He was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Again, there are very few details other than he died from a heart attack.

Marin Cacic, who was a 23-year-old Croatian defender, reportedly collapsed from a heart attack during a training session and passed away in a hospital a few days later. The player had been put into a comatose state in an effort to save him but The Mirror reported he died on December 23rd.

Adding to the grim list is Algerian footballer, Sofiane Loukar, who had a cardiac arrest on the playing field and died after colliding with his goalkeeper in a second division match in Oran on Saturday, Reuters reported.
“The APS agency said 28-year-old Loukar, from Mouloudia Saida, was hurt after running into his goalkeeper mid-way through the first half of their Ligue 2 clash at ASM Oran. He resumed playing after treatment but then collapsed some 10 minutes later, the agency reported. Loukar was rushed to hospital but died of a heart attack on his way, APS said. When news of his death was broken to the two teams, they abandoned the match,” Reuters stated.

The mainstream media is not drawing any connection between the soccer players being vaccinated and the sudden rise in fatal heart attacks. Most league players are fully vaccinated, so it’s a good bet all these players were as well. Fact-checkers such as Reuters and Politifact are being quick to assert there is no evidence that cardiac arrests are connected to COVID vaccinations.
Athletes, however, are not the only ones who are dying from heart attacks. Some see a connection between their deaths and COVID vaccinations.
Carlos Tejada, for instance, who was the deputy Asia editor for The New York Times, reportedly died from a heart attack one day after receiving the Moderna booster shot.
