Dr. Monica Casper, San Diego State University’s dean of the College of Arts and Letters, mocked the “stench” of the “Right’s agenda,” branding it racist and unintelligent, prompting enraged conservative students to decry her “cancerous leftist ideology.”
“Just so we’re clear on the Right’s agenda: racism good, abortion bad, money good, women bad, capitalism good, sustainability bad, stupidity good, science bad, power good, equality bad, white people good, nonwhite people bad. Stench, indeed,” Casper tweeted.
She wasn’t done either with her leftist, hateful rant. In other tweets first reported by The CollegeFix she raged over the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse, calling it a victory for “white supremacy.”
“No mercy, no justice – white supremacy wins again,” she tweeted regarding Rittenhouse.

Casper also lost it over opening arguments in the Supreme Court deliberation of a Mississippi ban on abortions at 15 weeks. The yet to be announced ruling has the potential to reverse the landmark abortion case Roe vs Wade.
She tweeted “two sexual predators, a white lady, and some racists walk into a courtroom…” Casper added the hashtag #abortionishealthcare.

In November of 2020, Casper shared a meme disparaging Republicans. The meme also shames white Democrats who feel “uncomfortable” challenging white supremacy.
Alongside a cartoon illustration of a man and a woman holding hands, the post reads, “This is Bob. He voted Republican. This is Bob’s friend Sally. Sally voted Democrat. Bob wants to put many of Sally’s friends into concentration camps. Bob is still friends with Sally because she’s white. Sally is still friends with Bob because she is a coward, and challenging white supremacy makes her uncomfortable.”

“The tweets reflect the cancerous leftist ideology that has infected not just the average professor, but the upper leadership of our public universities,” Dylan Martin, who is a spokesperson for the California College Republicans, told The CollegeFix, describing the attitude of the dean as “hateful.”
“This dishonest narrative harms students,” Martin remarked. “This isn’t isolated to Casper at SDSU, either; this way of thinking and this narrative is being driven by professors across the country every day.”
According to Casper’s bio, she is “deeply invested in the promise of sociology as a means to understand and change the world.” She embraces feminism, environmental studies, and infant mortality among other topics.
She claims that one of her specialties includes. “combating infant mortality in black communities.”
Her biography reads:
“Monica J. Casper majored in sociology at the University of Chicago and was hooked for life. She went on to complete a Ph.D. in sociology at the University of California, San Francisco, where she studied medical sociology, qualitative methods, health professions, and women’s health. Her dissertation examined the social history of fetal surgery and emergence of the “unborn patient,” analyzing the fetus as a work object (Casper 1998) and situating fetal surgery within contested reproductive politics. That project took her to Auckland, New Zealand and Puerto Rico for ethnographic fieldwork. Based on her dissertation, Professor Casper’s first book, The Making of the Unborn Patient: A Social Anatomy of Fetal Surgery, won the C. Wright Mills Award from the Society for the Study of Social Problems. She has since published six additional books, including most recently Critical Trauma Studies: Understanding Violence, Conflict, and Memory in Everyday Life, co-edited with Eric Wertheimer.”
“Her manuscript on infant mortality and race in the U.S. is under contract with Rutgers University Press. Professor Casper is deeply invested in the promise of sociology as a means to understand and change the world, while also working in and across other fields, including feminist studies, environmental studies, critical animal studies, trauma studies, and disability studies. She is currently involved in two research projects: (1) traumatic brain injury in athletes, veterans, and domestic violence survivors, and (2) biopolitics of elephant trauma and sanctuary,” it concludes.
“It is important to know that faculty speech is protected by both the First Amendment and academic freedom principles, which are advanced by the American Association of University Professors,” San Diego State University said in a statement to Fox News defending Casper’s right to free speech.
“At SDSU, we encourage all members of our community, including our faculty, to engage in open discourse, as it is our responsibility as a public institution to uphold and protect free speech. We know that open dialogue may introduce conversations about topics that are uncomfortable for some,” the statement continued.
The school also asserted that it will “not censor professors for exercising their free speech and for sharing their perspectives and the expertise determined by their own research and scholarship” because it would violate their Constitutional rights and squash respectful debate.
“We support the free expression of our faculty, students, and staff and maintain an environment that is supportive of different perspectives and experiences,” the school added.
While the school may be willing to give Casper a pass, conservatives aren’t so inclined:
