White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told a reporter on Thursday during a press briefing that President Joe Biden plans on running for reelection in 2024 with Vice President Kamala Harris on the ticket despite conflicting statements and whispers that indicate otherwise.

ABC News senior White House correspondent Mary K. Bruce asked Jean-Pierre to clarify the matter following a recent report from The Wall Street Journal where Harris was asked if Biden was running for reelection in 2024.

“She didn’t say yes,” Bruce told the press secretary. “She just said that the two of them hadn’t talked about it. Of course, you all and the president himself has said that he does plan to seek reelection. So what’s the disconnect here?”

“Well, I mean, I can’t speak to a conversation that the Vice President and the President have,” Jean-Pierre responded. “I could only say what and reiterate what Jen [Psaki] has said, and what the President has said himself, that he is planning to run for reelection in 2024. I don’t have any more to add.”

When White House press secretary Jen Psaki was asked aboard Air Force One in November whether she could confirm if Biden was going to run again in 2024, she responded, according to CNN, “Yes, that’s his intention.”

Jean-Pierre was asked during the press briefing to verify that Biden plans to keep Harris as his running-mate. She replied, “Yes, he does. There’s no change.”

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday, Harris stated that she and Biden had not discussed whether he will run for a second term. Her statements contradict what the White House has said about Biden running in 2024.

“I’m not going to talk about our conversations, but I will tell you this without any ambiguity: We do not talk about nor have we talked about reelection, because we haven’t completed our first year, and we’re in the middle of a pandemic,” proclaimed Harris.

“I’ll be very honest: I don’t think about it, nor have we talked about it,” she asserted. “We’re building back up our economy, and we are reestablishing America’s role in the context of our allies and partners around the world.”

Harris’ latest comments echo a similar comment she made in November when she said on ABC’s “Good Morning America” that they had “absolutely not” discussed the next election.

Biden declared in March that he intends to run for reelection again in 2024 with Harris as his running-mate. The White House has since reiterated Biden’s intentions but has not made an official 2024 announcement. However, the White House has tried to convince allies that they will be running as a duo in 2024.

There is widespread speculation out there that Biden is incapable of running for a second term given his age, mental cognitive abilities, and his cratering poll numbers.

Harris is also being floated as a potential 2024 contender. A shockingly hilarious Morning Consult poll that was released on Wednesday found that Democratic voters ranked Harris as their first choice in a presidential primary if Biden chooses not to run for reelection. A poll by The Hill released last week also found that Harris is in the lead among likely 2024 Democratic candidates if Biden isn’t in the race, despite her horrific poll numbers and the fact that it seems no one likes her.

A USA Today/Suffolk poll in November found that her approval rating stands at a historic low of 28%. Not to mention her staffers are fleeing her employ like rats off a sinking ship.

In her Wall Street Journal interview, Harris said she strongly believes Democrats must do a better job of selling their agenda to voters ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.

“I feel very strongly that our vision of the future must be one in which everyone can see themselves, where no one is left out,” remarked Harris. “That’s about rural America, it’s about suburban, urban.”

“There are a lot of variables that legitimately are weighing on people in our country,” she noted. “And I’ll never deny anybody how they’re feeling, but I know there are a lot of reasons to be optimistic, and a lot of good work that has happened that has alleviated the burdens that people carry.”

Meanwhile, Biden and Harris both claim that the Democrats will sweep the 2022 midterm elections. Americans are still laughing at that assertion.

The duo’s running for reelection could be the best thing to ever happen to the Republican Party:
