Hillary predicts Trump will run in 2024: ‘If he’s not held accountable… could be end of our democracy’

An apparently still-bitter but “pro-accountability” Hillary Clinton predicts that “demagogue” Donald Trump will run for president in 2024 and, if he’s successful, it could signal the demise of U.S. democracy.

During a long, softball interview with NBC’s “Sunday Today” show, host Willie Geist, the former U.S. secretary of state under Obama, said, “If I were a betting person, right now I’d say Trump is going to run again.” This is not exactly breaking news, though: Many have already come to that conclusion.

“I mean, he seems to be setting himself up to do that, and if he’s not held accountable, then he gets to do it again. I think that could be the end of our democracy,” the Democrat politician whom Trump derisively nicknamed “Crooked Hillary” because of the extensively chronicled scandals in her orbit, continued.

“I want people to understand that this is a make-or-break point. If he were, or someone of his ilk, were once again to be elected president, and especially if he had a Congress that would do his bidding, you will not recognize our country.”

The globalist, socialist left seems to be very panicky that opinion polls are correct and that Republicans will win control of Congress in 2022 as a harbinger of 2024. This is perhaps why politicians and pundits are rolling out an obviously coordinated, pre-emptive doom-and-gloom narrative.

Clinton, who seems to be angling to get back into the media limelight, having recently shared her never-delivered 2016 acceptance speech, admitted to guilt feelings over losing to Trump in the 2016 election and blamed it on ex-FBI Director Jim Comey in briefly reopening the email investigation.

“I tried to warn people. I tried to make the case that this was really dangerous, the people he was allied with, what they were saying, what de might do. And I do think but for Jim Comey and the stunt he pulled 10 days before the election, I would have won,” she said.

“I feel terrible about not stopping [Trump] and the people around him, but I feel like now everybody can see for themselves what kind of leader he is,” Clinton continued. “And clearly, there were people who liked what they saw, despite what I see as the real dangers to our country. They turned out and voted for him, and he’s trying to get it set it up so that will happen again even if he loses, as he did twice, the popular vote.”

Earlier in the interview, Clinton claimed she “hoped for the best from Donald Trump,” but was offended by the divisive nature of his inauguration day address. Sounding almost like she was channeling Juan Williams, she went on to condemn the GOP for becoming the party of Trump.

“Sadly, the Republican Party has gone along with him. Honestly, they have hung their spines up on the wall as they walk into their offices. They have no conscience, they have no spine, and we are seeing the results of a party that has been taken over by a demagogue.

“It’s a time to decide whether we’re gonna be a grown-up country or not. Are we going to give in to all these lies and disinformation, and this organized effort to undermine the rule of law and our institutions, or are we gonna stand up to it?” she asked.

 

Some might argue that it appears to be a consensus among those in the political/media establishment that they much prefer a passive Republican Party that operates like the Washington Generals, the exhibition basketball team that historically almost always loses to the Harlem Globetrotters.

Despite her stated concern for the rule of law, Clinton was not asked by Geist about, among other things, why her presidential campaign and the Democrat National Committee, through a law firm, partially funded the now-discredited Steele dossier that played a big role in prompting the Trump-Russia collusion investigation, i.e. Russia-gate, that ultimately turned out to be a hoax.

Moreover, Clinton, who seemed to be projecting as many liberals are inclined to do these days, was married to Bill Clinton, the 42nd U.S. president who presided over an administration, as well as a prior Arkansas governorship, which carries a lot of baggage, to say the least.
