TheBlaze host Glenn Beck asked Kyle Rittenhouse on Wednesday whether he was going to “sue the crap” out of the media for defaming him during his ordeal and Rittenhouse replied that his attorneys were going to go after Lin Wood and John Pierce first.
The teen claims that his former attorneys, Wood and Pierce, lied and took advantage of him during his trial. His attorneys are focusing on them first for restitution.
The remarks were made during a wide-ranging interview with Beck. But Rittenhouse was careful with his answers and cagey when it came to committing to lawsuits. His attorneys briefed him well on the subject.
Beck is adamant that Rittenhouse should go after the media over their treatment of him before and after his acquittal for shooting and killing two attackers and wounding a third in the Kenosha BLM riots. A jury ruled it was self-defense but the media portrayed the young man as a bloodthirsty monster.
“I think that the lawsuits against the media are not only right — I’m not a suing guy, I hate lawsuits — are not only right and righteous but are absolutely necessary if we’re gonna survive,” Beck told Rittenhouse. “Do you agree with that?”
He responded by saying that he is considering becoming an attorney because “I believe I can help more people.”

“Right, but suing the media, will that take a lot of time out of your schooling or do you have a good team that can take all of that? Are you gonna sue the pants off the media? That’s what I want to know,” Beck asked.
“We’re gonna focus on our number-one fight we’re dealing with right now with the guy who’s been lying, Lin Wood and John Pierce. We’re gonna focus on them right now but maybe down the line in the future. We don’t know yet, but we’re gonna focus on those liars,” Rittenhouse asserted.
Beck, who has supported Rittenhouse from the very beginning, stated that he would “gladly” help him raise money to sue the media. TheBlaze and Glenn Beck have millions of followers who are known for their generosity and willingness to help those in need. Rittenhouse fits that bill nicely.
Beck asked Rittenhouse why he was going after Wood first. Rittenhouse has previously stated that he disowned and disavowed both Wood and Pierce early on for the mishandling of his case. He referred to them as “fraud men” who exploited him for political and monetary reasons instead of trying to defend him against the unjust homicide charges he was facing.
Why was Kyle Rittenhouse needlessly jailed for 87 days? Who stood to benefit?

“I don’t want to talk much about [Wood], other than he’s a liar, and he’s putting my family in jeopardy,” Rittenhouse replied keeping in check his comments as his attorneys had assuredly instructed him to while they prep a case against Wood and Pierce. “We’re getting death threats because of the lies he’s saying. It’s just disturbing.”
Many conservatives believe that Rittenhouse should sue a long list of media outlets for smearing him just as they did Nicholas Sandmann who was caught up in the Covington media debacle of 2019. Sandmann won millions in his lawsuits and has personally encouraged Rittenhouse to go after the media as well.
