Brazen Mexican drug cartels are recruiting American teenagers as young as 15-years-old via TikTok and are offering to pay them $1,000 per head to traffick illegal aliens from the border to Houston, Texas.
On Monday, “Mornings with Maria” host Maria Bartiromo shared exclusive photos of a pickup truck that was flipped into a culvert by a recruited teenager while transporting 13 illegal immigrants to Houston.
Photos presented by Bartiromo were posted on her Instagram page and then were shown on-air. They were given to her by Jackson County Sheriff A.J. Louderback, whose jurisdiction is located approximately two-thirds of the way from the Rio Grande to Houston.
“You have these teenagers with cars back and forth from the border to Houston all day long,” she stated.
The lifestyle of vicious and violent cartels is glorified within the media app and teenagers are exploited as they’re offered drugs, sex, fast cars, excitement, bling, and lots of money.

This is occurring as another massive Central American migrant caravan is heading to our southern border. They just recently overran Mexican federal forces in their trek to the United States.
The Fox Business host also pointed out that President Biden falsely claimed that he had been to the Mexican border when cornered on the illegal immigration crisis. She reports the closest he came to the border was a stop in El Paso in 2008 where he was then driven to a campaign event in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Louderback is calling Biden’s nonexistent border strategy the “Destroy America Plan,” a takeoff on Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda. He remarked that his office and Texas DPS are overrun with cases of illegal aliens crossing the border and human trafficking.
He also noted that Biden is “empowering” cartels to hire teenagers to assist with their human smuggling. Teenagers are being focused on because they are the ones that are most likely to jump at making a lot of money fast without asking too many questions.
“Tell me who would be able to withstand that… [versus] working at Whataburger for minimum wage,” Louderback remarked according to Fox Business.
The teen who flipped the truck into a ditch is now facing multiple charges including human smuggling for benefit which is a second-degree felony in Texas.
“Two of them in this truck were below 18 years of age. That’s two more felonies there. You’ve got the evading, gross negligence, child endangerment, all these filed against this one juvenile,” Louderback stated and then added that the driver was allegedly unlicensed. “I don’t think it’s enough to deter this kid from continuing as a cartel operative.”
According to the AP, the cartels are also recruiting kids through contacts made on multiplayer online video games:
Ricardo Mejía, Mexico’s assistant public safety secretary, said an apparent cartel recruiter had already bought bus tickets for three boys between the ages of 11 and 14.
He said the boys met the recruiter in the online game platform “Free Fire,” also known as “Garena Free Fire.” The recruiter promised the boys $200 per week to work in northern Mexico as drug cartel lookouts.
The boys were found before they could board the bus in the southern state of Oaxaca. Mejia said other cartels have operated in a similar way by contacting players through online games and game platform chats, including “Call of Duty,” “Gears of War” and “Grand Theft Auto V.”
The Network for Children’s Rights in Mexico is reporting that between years 2000 and 2019 in Mexico 21,000 children under the age of 18 were murdered and 7,000 went missing.
The group estimates that approximately 30,000 youths had been recruited by drug gangs as of 2019.
Although recruiting via video games is now being reported in Mexico, it is highly probable that it will occur in the United States as well.
