Scott Smith, the Virginia father who was arrested on June 22nd while trying to speak out at a Loudoun County School Board hearing about his daughter’s rape by a “gender fluid” boy, is now speaking out about the Biden administration’s war on parents.

During an appearance Tuesday on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle,” Smith slammed the administration for using video footage of his arrest to fear-monger over parents and portray them as veritable “domestic terrorists.”

“Our government is going to weaponize themselves against parents, and they’re using my video across the nation to spread fear. That’s wrong. I’m not a bully, I’m not a racist, I love everyone, I love this country and I want better stuff for it,” he said.

That’s not how teachers’ unions have portrayed him.

Last month, the National School Boards Association submitted a letter to the Biden administration requesting it investigate upset parents for “threats of violence and acts of intimidation” that it argued may “constitute “a form of domestic terrorism.”

The letter included 24 examples of this “domestic terrorism.” One of the examples was Smith’s behavior at the June 22nd Loudoun County School Board hearing.

But according to Smith, this is a grossly false narrative. Speaking with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, he explained what really happened on the 22nd.

“Basically, my daughter was sexually assaulted at the end of school in May of last year. I went to the school board meeting to see what was going on because I had seen all this crazy stuff on TV, and I went to see what was going on after my daughter had been assaulted,” he said.

The hearing primarily concerned the “transgender right” of “transgender” students to use the restroom of their preference. It was highly relevant to Smith and his family because his daughter had been raped by a “gender fluid” boy who’d entered the girls’ restroom.

Smith stressed that he has nothing against gay and transgender people.

“I’m good with gay people, cross-gender people, everybody. Anybody who wants to be a good American I’m good with. I went there to find out why our children weren’t safe,” he said.

Continuing his story, he said that at the hearing, he and his wife were accosted by a far-left activist.

“The next thing I know, another parent activist approached my wife and started antagonizing her. And I turned around and said stop. And then I tried to tell the lady what had happened to my daughter. And she looked me dead in the face and said that’s not what happened, and that just struck me. Like, how do you know what happened?” he said.

“And then she kept going on and on, and the police came, and the officer was trying to help out. He said we needed to be kind to one another, and I said OK. And I turned my head, and she started in on me again and threatened my family business, my livelihood, everything that gives my family what we need. She threatened to ruin my business on social media,” Smith added.

This “parent activist” has since been identified as Jackie Schworm, a radical far-left local activist with a history of targeting dissenters.

LinkedIn records only list one Jackie Schworm, a Sun Microsystems engagement specialist who lives in Ashburn, Virginia, a town that’s in Loudoun County.

As Smith grew angrier and angrier, he stopped paying attention to everything else happening around him, including the cops trying to pull him away.

“The next thing I know, I’m getting touched from all over the place. I didn’t know who was touching me, who was grabbing me. I turn around, the police are grabbing me and next thing I know, I’m tackled to the ground. I’m just shocked and horrified,” he said.

Watch:

His contention appears to be that he didn’t attend the school board hearing with the intent to stir trouble or perpetuate alleged “domestic terrorism.”

He showed up to talk about his daughter’s rape in relation to the school board’s policies but was instead heckled and threatened by a far-left activist. In response, he lost track of what was happening and would up being arrested, though he’d clearly hurt nobody.

He was also reportedly completely ignored by the school board, which tried to claim in direct contradiction of the truth that bathroom rapes/assaults weren’t an issue.

“Our students do not need to be protected, and they are not in danger. Do we have assaults in our bathrooms or locker rooms regularly?” school board member Beth Barts reportedly asked during the hearing.

“To my knowledge, we don’t have any record of assaults occurring in our restrooms,” Scott Ziegler, school district superintendent, reportedly responded.

Not only does this contradict his daughter’s claims, but it also contradicts official court papers. According to reports, his daughter’s abuser was charged with two counts of forcible sodomy, one count of anal sodomy, and one count of forcible fellatio.

Continuing his remarks, Smith said he doesn’t begrudge law enforcement officers for arresting him, though he stressed that things didn’t have to end up that way.

“We support our first responders and our law enforcement. This didn’t have to happen, and this could have been handled a lot differently,” he said.

And therein lies the crux of the matter: Neither the Biden administration nor the school boards and school teachers whom it’s beholden to seem at all interested in approaching the issue of dissenting parents with empathy and understanding.

In fact, in response to the NLRB’s letter, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced last week that he’d be deploying federal authorities to investigate parents like Smith. As for the boy who abused Smith’s daughter, it appears Garland is content with leaving that investigation in the hands of local authorities …
