A private Facebook group in Virginia called the “Anti-racist Parents of Loudoun County” is allegedly targeting parents who are not ‘woke’ enough and who stand against Critical Race Theory.
The group is comprised of local school board members, parents, and teachers. Six out of nine of the school board members are part of the group. It has over 600 members and some of them are now being accused of divulging personal information of parents who are against the controversial curriculum. The group is currently under investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, according to Fox 5 DC.
The group ostensibly urged followers to “gather information” on the targeted parents and they encouraged online hackers to find a way to silence critics. Parent Cherly Onderchain was interviewed on Fox News and claims she was on a “hit list.” She stated: “Their goal is silence.”
Patti Menders, who also claims to be on the blacklist said: “I was personally attacked. My name, my first name, my last name, where my son goes to school, who my husband is, where I live and three pictures of me were all on that Facebook page.”

“They wanted to send postcards to our neighbors calling us racist and come to our home with a megaphone and call us racists,” she added.
Erin Dunbar, who is another targeted parent, added: “Those of you who saw personal information about families in this county being posted and did nothing, shame on you.”
A spokesperson for Loudoun Parents for Education named Ian Prior said in a statement that “there was a solicitation by one of the members of [the Facebook group] to target people that had opposed the school’s commitment to Critical Race Theory concepts.”
He continued: “Members were conspiring to commit potentially illegal actions against members of the community for exercising their First Amendment rights to speak out against the curriculum and for opening schools.”

School board member Beth Barts is being accused of orchestrating the attacks by a parent named Austin Levine who testified on March 23rd concerning the targeting of parents. “I am on a list — not Santa’s list — but a list of enemies created by a group led by the marching orders of one of your colleagues,” Levine charged.
“This list included names, places of work, where they lived, and their perceived wrongs. I should not have to live in fear because my opinions differ from elected officials,” he added.
Prior said that they are trying to get the school board members who are allegedly involved recalled. “We’re going to do our best to bring people together to run a campaign to recall those six members that were taking part in this group and clearly were not serving the community,” Prior stated. “It’s clear that we have a school board that is quite simply not up to the task.”
Jeremy Wright, who is a local teacher, said: “Minority students are going to suffer the most from this. When you teach students that the system is against them, they have no motivation to learn.”
Loudoun County Public Schools interim Superintendent Scott Ziegler is claiming that the school district has not inserted Critical Race Theory into its curriculum.

“Social media rumors that staff members have been disciplined or fired for not adhering to the tenants of Critical Race Theory or for refusing to teach this theory are not true,” Ziegler flatly stated. He also said he’s against calling out parents who have a different opinion than others. He claims to want to make sure “every student, employee, and member of the community is treated in an equitable, respectful manner.”
