Horrifying footage of Mexican cartel lining up rivals for execution

A Mexican cartel released horrifying footage of tormenting a rival cartel of twenty men shown bound and kneeling on the ground before being executed.

The video was posted to social media Wednesday by members of the agitating cartel, Los Tlacos. The men lined up kneeling next to one another are purported to be members of La Bandera, part of the Guerreros Unidos cartel, as reported by El País, a Spanish language publication.

Members of Los Tlacos all appear to be masked in the footage, taken in the middle of a forest in the state of Guerrero as the ringleader torments their ill-fated rivals, violently grabbing them by their hair and waving a gun in their faces, demanding their names and other information.

“People from Iguala, here are all those who extorted money and who were killing innocent people and women. The garbage that terrorized this beautiful city,” the masked leader says in the video.

La Bandera is reportedly connected to the 2014 kidnapping of 43 students in Ayotzinapa. Their leader, Chucho Brito, is accused of having a “direct line” to Mayor David Gama Pérez and profiting off of construction contracts awarded to him by the mayor.

One of the La Bandera members admitted under duress on film that Brito did have a direct line to the mayor’s office.

“We told them and the time has come, this turf already has an owner,” the masked Los Tlacos leader said in the video.

Los Tlacos appears to have sent Mayor Gama Pérez a message. Four bodies were reportedly recovered from the trunk of an abandoned car left in front of the mayor’s campaign office in Iguala, Mexico before the video was posted online.

The Guerrero State Office of the Attorney General identified one of the bodies in the vehicle as Luis Ángel, who was being investigated for the aggravated homicide of two men.

‘The State Attorney General’s Office will continue with the corresponding investigations to locate him or those who are likely responsible for this criminal act in the northern region of the entity,” the Guerrero State Office of the Attorney General said in a statement.

Mayor Gama Pérez’s office did not offer comments, according to DailyMail.

It remains unclear if authorities have located the bodies of the 16 other men.

Twitter users took the jarring footage as an opportunity to examine President Biden’s failed border policy and the implications that welcoming undocumented, illegal migrants could have on the U.S.

“When it comes to money, drugs and guns the Mexican cartels let nothing stand in their way. Most Americans think that many crossing the border illegally just want a better life. The fact is that many are bringing dangerous people and/or guns or drugs,” one user wrote.
