The Biden administration’s big lie about Border Patrol agents “whipping” illegal immigrants is so outlandishly false that it may finally be a bridge too far, even for media sources like CNN with host Jake Tapper calling the story “patently false.”
In a stunning moment of clarity, the network’s top anchor punched a hole in the bogus narrative that provided cover for President Joe Biden after shocking video footage of thousands of Haitian refugees massed in miserable conditions near Del Rio, Texas shed light on his disastrous immigration policies.
On Sunday’s edition of “State Of The Union,” Tapper chatted with DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas who has done much to spread the lie that agents on horseback “whipped” the Haitians, a fib that the administration and its legions of propagandists have deftly used to conjure up dark images of slavery, a cynical ploy designed to foment an emotional response by appealing to race.
Tapper pressed Mayorkas on how an independent investigation of the framed Border Patrol Agents could be conducted after Biden himself poisoned the well by vowing that “those people will pay,” falsely claiming that they were “strapping” the migrants.
After the DHS boss insisted that the “facts that are determined will drive the outcome, nothing less and nothing more,” Tapper tried to interject the inconvenient fact that the images did not show the agents acting in a way consistent with what they have been accused of only to be talked over by Mayorkas, who boasted about his experience as a federal prosecutor.
Mayorkas did seem to slightly walk back some of his earlier rhetoric at one point.
“Jake, what those images, what those images suggest, what they appeared to portray was horrifying,” he said, “and that, I think, deserves attention. That is quite different than fact determinations.”
He added, “And I will tell you, I served as a federal prosecutor for 12 years and we conducted independent investigations, despite what appearances might have been and the public outcry about them.”
Once Tapper was able to get a word in, he all but called Biden a liar.
“But that’s the thing. Some of the initial descriptions of those images were just patently false. There’s now video out there that provides more context. Having seen the video, are you certain that there was actually wrongdoing?” he asked.
He may have been referring to footage that directly contradicts the administration’s claims that has been shared on Twitter in a major blow to the White House narrative.

Mayorkas insisted that the accused agents would get a fair shake, “I am going to let those investigators make that determination. And then that determination will drive the outcome of the investigation.”
Tapper then asked, “Can the Border Patrol count on you and President Biden, who has said that people will pay, to come to a determination based on the facts, and not based on Twitter outrage?”
“They sure can,” answered Mayorkas.
It is unknown whether the Border Patrol will trust Mayorkas’ insistence that the investigation wouldn’t become just another political witch hunt, but comments from some indicate that the nation’s 46th president and his proclivity for playing fast and loose with the truth has already resulted in a major confidence issue.

One agent told Fox News, “Would you go to work and do your best knowing that if you do your boss is going to ‘make you pay?'” adding, “I’m dumbfounded and don’t know what to say.”
“I see the administration wants to fry our agents. He just started a war with Border Patrol,” said another.
Yet another wondered, “Is the president threatening to throw us in prison?”
The entire Border Patrol will be watching very closely to see if the Biden regime railroads the accused based on a fraudulent narrative.
If Biden has now lost the self-proclaimed “most trusted name in news” it could be a sign that his radical agenda could soon be facing serious headwinds.
