Nicki Minaj has dared to step into the political arena and her topic of choice? Covid vaccinations. Her comments have even attracted congressional attention.

When Nicki Minaj took to Twitter to say she’ll get vaccinated “once I feel I’ve done enough research,” it provoked a bizarre war of words that would be considered the plot of a D movie if it wasn’t real. Minaj, who’s real name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, then stirred the pot by relating an anecdote of a cousin’s friend who allegedly became impotent and had swollen testicles because of the vaccine.

The first big name to enter the fray was MSNBC’s Joy Reid. Soon after, Dr. Anthony Fauci jumped into the ring as well.

The fun has escalated to the likes of Representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA), who thought he was being clever in his Twitter response:

My cousin’s friend’s veterinarian got the vaccine. Like 99% of the other vaccinated Americans, he did not die of Covid. #GetVaccinated

Many joined in on the joke to mock Minaj:

Others, however, were quick to note Rep. Swalwell’s own logical shortcomings:

Yet the spat doesn’t end at America’s shores. United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson has also gotten into it after Johnson and Professor Whitty, England’s Chief Medical Officer, blasted Minaj for spreading the “ridiculous myth” that Covid-19 vaccines somehow cause impotence (and testicular swelling) at a press conference on Tuesday. In response, Minaj sent out a bizarre tweet with an audio clip attached with a fake British accent:

TV personality Piers Morgan jumped in to call her the “rudest little madam I ever met,” which was apparently taken as a compliment by Minaj:
