The British are warning of “very, very credible reporting of an imminent attack” by terrorists, perhaps within hours, on the Kabul airport, and Americans at the gates are being urged by the U.S. Embassy to “leave immediately.”
James Heappey, Britain’s armed forces minister, told the BBC Thursday that the attack could target the airport where tens of thousands of desperate people are trying to gain access to be taken to safety. The U.S. Embassy is also urgently warning Americans to stay away from the airport due to security threats. Heappey told Sky News that an “imminent, lethal attack” could be about to take place at Kabul airport.
“Because of security threats outside the gates of Kabul airport, we are advising U.S. citizens to avoid traveling to the airport and to avoid airport gates at this time unless you receive individual instructions from a U.S. government representative to do so,” a statement from the embassy warned.
“U.S. citizens who are at the Abbey Gate, East Gate, or North Gate now should leave immediately,” the embassy alarmingly stated.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid dismissed the reports of possible attacks and called them “not correct” according to the AP.
A Taliban official reportedly said its own guards were “risking their lives” at the airport due to a potential attack by their enemy Islamic State Khorasan (ISIS-K), according to Reuters.
CNN is reporting that as many as several hundred members of ISIS-K may have been released from the prisons at Bagram and Pul-e-Charkhi, both to the east of Kabul.
Belgium Prime Minister Alexander De Croo claims his country received a warning from the U.S. that a possible attack involving an explosive device aimed at killing those around the airport was a strong possibility.
“We received information at the military level from the United States, but also from other countries, that there were indications that there was a threat of suicide attacks on the mass of people,” De Croo announced.

Poland, Belgium, and Denmark have declared that their final flights have departed from Afghanistan. France is ending evacuations after Friday evening, citing the withdrawal of U.S. troops.
President Biden has announced the U.S. will stick to the August 31st deadline to withdraw from the country, effectively stranding Americans and allies behind enemy lines and leaving them at the mercy of the barbaric Taliban. Afghans are not being allowed to go to the airport and Special Immigrant Visa holders are reportedly being blocked by the Taliban from getting there as well.
Although Biden claims to not trust the Taliban, his administration has deferred to the terrorist group and is submitting to their demand that the U.S. leave by the 31st no matter who gets left behind. They have even called for the Taliban’s assistance in crowd control at the airport. They have brutally obliged that request.
Americans at the airport or on their way there have been warned to “be aware of their surroundings,” and to pay attention to local media in order to “adjust your plans based on new information.”

Secretary of State Antony Blinken claimed on Wednesday that he thought less than 1,000 American citizens were still in Afghanistan and were attempting to escape. Many have grave doubts about that professed number.
He asserted there were 6,000 Americans who wanted to leave Afghanistan on August 14 and 4,500 of them have been evacuated within the last 10 days. Blinken also noted that 500 of the remaining Americans have been instructed on how to get out of the country within the last 24 hours. He actually believes there are fewer than 1,000 left in the country, unbelievably claiming that some wanted to stay and others had somehow sneaked out without telling the government.
“From the list of approximately 1,000, we believe that the number of Americans actively seeking assistance to leave Afghanistan is lower, and likely significantly lower,” Blinken contended at the briefing.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki was caught off guard during a news briefing on Wednesday when she was asked about a group of dozens of California students who are trapped in Afghanistan with their parents. And that is just one instance of Americans reportedly stranded in Afghanistan which contradicts Blinken’s assertions.
Psaki was asked if she was aware of an L.A. Times report that a group of students and their parents from California’s El Cajon Valley School District were still stranded in Afghanistan.
The reporter bluntly asked her, “The L.A. Times has a story saying that a group of students and their parents are in Afghanistan. Do you have any more information on that or is that?…”
“I do not. Who have recently traveled into Afghanistan?” Psaki asked while looking confused.

There are still hundreds, if not thousands, of Americans trying to get out of Afghanistan. They have little hope of doing so now as the U.S. military is departing and the Taliban prepares to clamp down. The threat of terrorism from ISIS and al-Qaeda is allegedly growing by the minute in Afghanistan.
