Following a slew of breakthrough cases of individuals who are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus contracting COVID-19, Fox News host Sean Hannity told Governor Ron DeSantis on Wednesday that the vaccine is “not protecting many people.”
His statement comes roughly a month after he urged viewers to get vaccinated against the virus and to “believe in the science of vaccination.” That was before the Delta variant rampaged across the country with people such as Texas Governor Greg Abbott coming down with COVID even after being fully inoculated against it.
Hannity began the segment on his show with DeSantis, stating, “When COVID first hit, you were regularly on this show, on my radio show often, as a matter of fact. You mobilized every single state agency to protect the very large elderly population that you had in Florida. You — for example, you never sent COVID patients to nursing homes or the Villages or any — any communities where people were older and more vulnerable.”
“Now, you’ve done something — now that the CDC has said in no uncertain terms even fully vaccinated people — the vaccine will not prevent you from getting COVID — you have now done something that I think is quite innovative. And that is you have now institutionalized and mobilized your state once again to build these — these monoclonal antibodies centers, Regeneron centers, Eli Lilly centers,” he remarked.

“So when people that are fully vaccinated or not, get COVID, they can get the infusion of Regeneron as quickly as possible. And that’s going to be available all throughout the state. You’re in the process of doing it everywhere right now, is that correct?” Hannity asked.
“That’s right. So we already have four sites up. We’re going to have — by the end of the week, we’re going to have ten to fifteen. They’re going to each be able to do 320 treatments a day, Sean, which is a lot. So we’re going to be doing thousands of these, they’re going to be available every single day,” DeSantis confirmed.
“And you and I know people — the data’s very clear — you and I know people. They took this, they had symptoms, and it was resolved. It can keep you out of the hospital and it can save your life. More people need to know about it and so that’s one of the reasons we’re doing these centers so that people understand, if you are COVID-positive, you actually have an ability to do early treatment, which is great,” the Florida governor concluded.
Hannity then closed with his response, “And that has probably been the most underreported therapeutic out there. Our friend, I know, Governor Abbott, he’s in our prayers tonight. I know he had the infusion himself. I applaud you and others for doing this and setting this up immediately, now that we — the science shows the vaccine will not necessarily protect you, it’s not protecting many people.”
It should be noted here that Hannity fully believes in the science of vaccines. It appears that he has watched the COVID vaccinations and the ensuing infections regardless of inoculation and has tempered his enthusiasm for these particular preventative measures.
“I can’t say it enough. Enough people have died. We don’t need any more death. Research like crazy. Talk to your doctor, your doctors, medical professionals you trust based on your unique medical history, your current medical condition, and you and your doctor make a very important decision for your own safety. Take it seriously. You also have a right to medical privacy, doctor-patient confidentiality is also important. And it absolutely makes sense for many Americans to get vaccinated. I believe in science, I believe in the science of vaccination,” Hannity previously commented on his show.
The Biden administration announced on Wednesday that COVID-19 booster shots will be available to Americans beginning in September, and are recommended for immunocompromised Americans eight months after their last shot.
Hannity is not alone in his conclusions over the COVID vaccinations:
Vax isn’t protecting us. Masks are not protecting us. Need a Solution and Direction is what the people want. Doing this insanity thing w the masks ain’t cutting it here. Florida that is.

One of my vaccinated golfing buddies just got covid, so the vaccine isn’t preventing the spread nor protecting the vaccinated. Think bigger than what you see on news programs.

9 of our pharmacy employees who were vaccinated all fell ill just a couple of weeks ago with Covid. One of our nurses, fully vaccinated, hadcovid a week ago. One of my friends aunts, fully vaccinated, caught covid and is now dead. I’m vaccinated myself, but this needs researched

I work in the medical field & I am sad to say that it truly does not protect you 100%. Just the other day a coworker who was vaccinated in January tested positive for Covid. Her symptoms r less than if she didn’t have vaccinations but it did not protect her from getting it again.

He’s not wrong, many vaccinated people are getting Covid

The vaccine doesn’t protect everybody. People who have gotten the vaccine have still gotten covid. Maybe lay off the colored vodka

Technically and ‘scientifically’, it’s accurate. People are still contracting a virus with an inoculation.
