Tucker advises viewers ‘ignore’ medical advice from people on TV before Hannity urges Americans get the jab

Fox News host Tucker Carlson advised his viewers on Monday to ignore medical advice on television before his colleague Sean Hannity calling on Americans to take COVID seriously and get vaccinated.

Carlson started his segment off by addressing the Texas Democrats fleeing their state to DC to avoid voter integrity legislation. Several of those Democrats have now come up positive for COVID-19. Then, he referenced a UK official who stated that 60 percent of hospitalizations there for the virus are among vaccinated people. Later, Sir Patrick Vallance had to correct his number to 40 percent and state that it was unvaccinated individuals that were being hospitalized.

“They’ve been telling us anyone who is fully vaccinated is fine,” Carlson remarked. “The only people getting dangerously sick or dying from COVID and are those people who have refused to get the vaccine.”

“Our leaders want us to shut up and not ask questions. There are a lot of those people giving you medical advice on television, and you should ignore them,” Carlson warned his viewers. “The advice they’re giving you isn’t designed to help, it’s designed to make you comply. And you shouldn’t comply mindlessly. You’re an American adult. You’re allowed to ask simple questions and then demand clear answers. That’s why we live here. That’s your birthright.

“Schools across the country are asking students to take the vaccine as a condition of their education. Is that a good idea? Is it rooted in science? We should know the answer to that. Before we can answer that question we need to know how many young people are dying from COVID,” he added bringing up concerns that many Americans have.

Carlson continued, “We’re not saying there’s no benefit to the vaccine, there may well be profound benefits to the vaccine. Our mind is open and has been from the first day. We never encourage anyone to take or not take the vaccine.”

He said, “But we know lying when we see it and you just saw it. To say again… this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated is simply untrue. That’s a lie. There is a massive discrepancy between that political talking point — which is exactly what it is… and what the data in a bunch of different countries are showing.”

Sean Hannity on his show Monday night took a different tack. He told his viewers that they should take COVID-19 seriously and get vaccinated.

“I can’t say it enough. Enough people have died. We don’t need any more death. Research like crazy. Talk to your doctor, your doctors, medical professionals you trust based on your unique medical history, your current medical condition, and you and your doctor make a very important decision for your own safety. Take it seriously. You also have a right to medical privacy, doctor-patient confidentiality is also important. And it absolutely makes sense for many Americans to get vaccinated. I believe in science, I believe in the science of vaccination,” Hannity commented.

Fox News host Steve Doocy also seemingly contradicted Carlson earlier in the day, urging viewers to get vaccinated as well. He stated that “99 percent of the people who died have not been vaccinated.” Doocy told viewers they should get the shot, adding, “Get the shot, it will save your life.”
