Antifa thugs get beatdown after attacking anti-mask protesters in LA; video captures stabbing

One man was stabbed on Saturday afternoon when violence broke out during a protest against COVID-19 vaccine passports and mandatory face masks in Los Angeles.

According to journalist Andy Ngo — who shared videos embedded below of the very disturbing street fights that occurred — as well as a police official, the counter-protesters were Antifa members.

Ngo described the clashes as a “brutal right-wing vs. Antifa brawl.” Cops intervened to separate the two groups.

On Saturday evening, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the stabbing amidst the protests that erupted outside City Hall and that the victim was treated by the Fire Department first responders and transported to a local hospital. His condition at this time is unknown.

The LAPD indicated that an investigation is ongoing, but so far, no one has been taken into custody.

“We are on scene to maintain order after a fight broke out between Antifa and people gathered for the permitted event,” Capt. Stacy Spell told the Los Angeles Times.

Ngo shared this footage of a man allegedly brandishing a knife, but it’s not clear if this is the stabbing in question:

Although it is not yet determined which side of the protest the so-far unidentified victim was, Ngo indicated that he had a U.S. flag hat with him and “that’s not something Antifa wear.”

LA County recently brought back a requirement for people to wear masks in indoor public spaces after the surge of the Delta variant.

The demonstrators who assembled to oppose what they consider medical tyranny presumably believe that authorities are poised to impose more restrictions.

The Times detailed the current state of play in the Democrat-controlled city which unfortunately seems likely to lead to more polarization:

There is no blanket rule mandating that people get vaccinated in California, but some cities have or are considering requiring proof of vaccination to enter certain businesses…Earlier this week, the Los Angeles City Council voted to direct city attorneys to draft a law that would require people to have at least one dose of a vaccine to visit indoor restaurants, bars, gyms, shops and movie theaters. Much of the plan has yet to be worked out, and the full City Council still must approve the proposed law after it’s written up. L.A. County officials are also considering instituting their own public vaccine verification rules.

Some private-sector businesses, including large employers in California, are requiring proof of vaccination to enter their premises.

Last week, nurses and doctors staged peaceful protests at several locations in California against a new rule that requires state healthcare workers present their proof of vaccination by September 30.

Parenthetically, influential podcaster Joe Rogan recently claimed that vaccine passports brings the county “one step closer to dictatorship.”
