Grammy-winning singer begs for forgiveness after posting vid of maskless Obama bash

Grammy Award-winning artist Erykah Badu is apologizing to the Obamas for being a “terrible guest” after she leaked a video onto social media that showed former President Obama dancing at his 60th birthday party in Martha’s Vineyard.

She begged for the former first family’s forgiveness Thursday on Twitter, “Mr. And Mrs. Obama, Please forgive me 4 being the ‘terrible guest’ at such a sacred event for your family. I was so inconsiderate, Thank you for all your love. What an example of ‘how NOT ‘ to be …… erica”

Video and pictures were both displayed on the singer’s social media account that showed Barack and Michelle Obama maskless, partying with hundreds of guests at a luau-themed celebration. They have since been removed from Badu’s social media platforms but not before they went viral.

The 50-year-old singer was only one of a star-studded crowd that included Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Tom Hanks, Oprah, Bruce Springsteen, H.E.R., Questlove, John Legend, and Alicia Keys on the guestlist, among many others. The invitations were cut down from 500 to an alleged 200 over bad optics and the spread of the delta variant. But that excuse was laid to waste as no one wore masks under the massive tent for the event and they certainly didn’t socially distance.

“Due to the new spread of the delta variant over the past week, the president and Mrs. Obama have decided to significantly scale back the event to include only family and close friends,” a spokesperson announced ahead of the event. “President Obama is appreciative of others sending their birthday wishes from afar and looks forward to seeing people soon.”

Following the elitist party, nearly 75 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Martha’s Vineyard. That’s the highest since April.

Badu’s leak of the event has unleashed a torrent of outrage from critics who, under the hashtag #ObamaVariant, are slamming the former president for hypocritically throwing the party with hundreds of unmasked people in attendance.

When the soul singer was asked by a fan if the Obamas forced her to delete the pics and video, she stated, “Naw sis. It’s just right thing [to do].” Which indicated that she voluntarily took down the posts after they caused an uproar.

Badu was not alone in leaking photos of the party. “Birthday B***h” performer Trap Beckham and his manager TJ Chapman also shared pics of themselves and others partying at the Obamas’ $12 million mansion in Edgartown.

They were asked to delete the photos that showed food, drinks, and decor. The shots also showed them getting high at the party.

“Had to delete everything due to the rules,” Beckham, 30, told his online followers. “It was epic for sure. If any videos surface it’s going viral. He danced the whole time. Nobody ever seen Obama like this before.”

“The liberal elites are laughing at us, attempting to sell this as a ‘scaled-back party,’” GOP chairwoman and upstate New York Rep. Elise Stefanik told the New York Post. “Democrats are imposing forced vaccine mandates, unscientific masks mandates, and are openly discussing lockdowns, while President Obama gathers with hundreds of maskless liberal elites who flew in on private jets with no vaccine requirement to attend.”

“It’s hypocrisy at its finest and shows they don’t believe what they are saying,” declared Republican Party consultant Ryan James Girdusky. “The ruling class tells Americans they can’t see their grandparents while they release COVID positive migrants at the border, you need to conserve carbon while they fly private jets, defund the police while they hire private security, and you have to wear a mask indoors with your own children while they throw soirées with 600 millionaires.”

Social media is still buzzing over all of it:
