Former supermodel Chrissy Teigen is lamenting that she is now part of the “cancel club” following her cyberbullying scandal that exploded in June and claimed on Wednesday that she is depressed and just can’t live without Twitter and social media interaction.
“Cancel club is a fascinating thing and I have learned a whollllle lot. Only a few understand it and it’s impossible to know til you’re in it,” Teigen explained on Instagram. “And it’s hard to talk about it in that sense because obviously, you sound whiney when you’ve clearly done something wrong. It just sucks. There is no winning. But there never is here anyhow.”
She has not actually been completely canceled, although a tiny handful of retailers have given vague excuses for no longer carrying her brand and business deals have since fallen through. Teigen’s not banned on Twitter and although she took a break from it, she’s back on. The same thing with Instagram, so her claim is arguably more than a bit specious here.
Teigen has started posting family pictures on Instagram of their trip to Italy in an effort to start repairing her image. But she can’t escape her past actions quite that easily. She wrote that going outside “sucks and doesn’t feel right,” but “being at home alone with my mind makes my depressed head race.”

“I feel lost and need to find my place again, I need to snap out of this, I desperately wanna communicate with you guys instead of pretending everything is okay. I’m not used to any other way!!” she declared in a pleading cry for attention.
The celebrity author’s so-called depression follows a lengthy apology that she posted to Medium in June after media personality Courtney Stodden called her out for vicious and cruel tweets and direct messages she received from Teigen when she was a teenager. The bullying left Stodden allegedly suicidal.
Teigen reportedly sent Stodden messages telling her to take “a dirt nap.”
“She wouldn’t just publicly tweet about wanting me to take ‘a dirt nap’ but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself,” Stodden recalled. “Things like, ‘I can’t wait for you to die.'”
Teigen described herself as a troll after admitting to bullying others online. Stodden was not the only one she attacked.
Unbelievably, the mother of two justifies the mean tweets claiming that she thought they “made me cool” and she was eager to join a “pop culture pile-on.”
“Why did I think there was some invisible psycho-celebrity formula that prevents anyone with more followers from experiencing pain? How did I not realize my words were cruel? What gave me the right to say these things?” she belatedly wrote.
Farrah Abraham, who is one of the former teen mothers featured on the MTV show “16 and Pregnant” and “Teen Mom,” stated that she was one of those publicly bullied by Teigen and that she called her a “whore.”
Lindsay Lohan was also one of her victims. A tweet from January 2011 read, “Lindsay adds a few more slits to her wrists when she sees emma stone.”
In 2013, Teigen described nine-year-old Oscar nominee Wallis as “cocky.”
And there are others on Teigen’s bullying list.
“I’m just…tired of being sick with myself all day. I don’t even know if it’s good to say any of this because it’s gonna get brutally picked apart but I dunno. I can’t do this silent s— anymore!” she whined. “If you or someone you know has also been cancelled please let me know if there is a cancel club reunion because I could use some time off my couch!”
Teigen may not really be “canceled” but she’s not liked by many either:

Very depressed Chrissy Teigen wants to let us all know how depressed she is b/c she’s a hateful twat & now she can’t have fun being a twat on social media anymore. She also said she needs time off her couch even though she was just in Italy with family and friends for 2 weeks. 🤡 pic.twitter.com/q2y6xRBC9T

Chrissy Teigen is straight up INSUFFERABLE and an attention whore – she likes both good and bad. John Legend was actually my favorite singer but then he got roped into her needy, attention calling ways and I had to drop him from the top spot. pic.twitter.com/Aixsy0g2MV
