A Democrat Party activist smeared Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and then, after being called out, ostensibly “apologized” by smearing Republicans again.
Chris Hahn, a Democrat Party operative who appears frequently on Fox News as an angry left-wing commentator, responded to the deadly crash Saturday at a gay pride parade in Fort Lauderdale by blaming it on the state’s governor.
“Wilton Manors is what happens when you pass a bill that encourages people to run over protesters with their car. Ron DeSantis and the rest of the Florida GOP have blood on their hands. #DeathSantis,” he tweeted.
Wilton Manors refers to the name of the parade: the Wilton Manors LGBTQ Pride parade.
Below is a screenshot of Hahn’s since-deleted tweet:
This now deleted tweet is what happens when you have an agenda to push and hit the tweet button before you see that the incident was caused by a gay drunk driver who was part of the parade.
But @ChristopherHahn will never apologize for this irresponsible tweet. pic.twitter.com/OIRYNmhfle

Also, @ChristopherHahn is absolutely lying about the law Florida passed.

To be clear, no evidence has emerged to suggest that the driver who crashed into the parade was drunk. However, strong evidence has emerged that he was one of the parade’s participants.
Video footage of the suspect being arrested showed that he was wearing a Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus t-shirt. In addition, the chorus’s president, Justin Knight, issued a statement Saturday afternoon confirming that the driver was indeed “part of the chorus family.”
“Our fellow Chorus members were those injured and the driver was also a part of the Chorus family. To my knowledge, this was not an attack on the LGBTQ community. We anticipate more details to follow and ask for the community’s love and support,” he said.

Before and even after the evidence was unearthed, left-wing activists falsely portrayed the crash as an act of terror and blamed it on Florida’s “anti-riot” bill that protects police and citizens from actual extremists.
Signed into law by DeSantis in April, the bill grants immunity to drivers who are forced to drive through a mob of violent road-blocking extremists to prevent themselves from being attacked and potentially killed.
Hahn posted his tweet Sunday morning around 8:52 am, over 12 hours after the evidence had begun to pour in showing that the crash likely wasn’t a terrorist attack.
Facing intense backlash for the tweet, he quickly deleted it and then posted an “apology” in which he apologized for his previous tweet but then attacked Republicans again.
“I apologize for that irresponsible tweet. I read an article that was incorrect. The moment I realized I had bad information I withdrew the tweet and posted a retraction. That mire than I can say for anyone on the right,” he wrote.
He meant to write “that’s more than.”
Look:
I apologize for that irresponsible tweet.

There are countless examples of conservatives apologizing for saying or posting dumb and/or false things. Just recently, Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene apologized for incendiary remarks she’d made years ago about the Holocaust.
Predictably, leftists gave the congresswoman no quarter without justification. Following their lead, conservatives chose Sunday to also give Hahn no quarter, albeit with justification.
Look (*Language warning):
An apology that contains an insult is not sincere.

Couldn’t just apologize for being wrong, could you? Nope, had to #whataboutism to close it out. #hack

You are a garbage human. Period. Absolutely garbage.

Great virtue signaling retraction. Just say you messed up and were caught by confirmation bias in your little echo chamber. No backhanded digs are necessary. That’s like sayin “I’m sorry, but you made me do it”

Anyone on the Right? You are familiar with all of them? When you f*ck up, it’s no time to mouth off. It just makes you look like the A-hole you are. Snark on, twit.

Got all those sweet RTs and likes tho, didn’t you? Really pumped up your endorphins before the “Not true” crash
This is what happens when you’re so far up your own ass with your partisan bullshit you let your confirmation bias send tweets without the slightest bit of research.

Doesn’t matter. Your haste has fanned the flames. There’s thousands, on here, that will not retract the false story. They will continue with it because it helps fuel narratives. You’re complicit in whatever fallout. You, that damn mayor and every other blue check!

One critic accused Hahn of spewing “partisan bullshit.” This is true. Hahn is in fact a Jedi Master at spewing “partisan bullshit.”
During the Trump presidency, he downplayed migrant caravans, mocked the president for visiting the southern border, smeared then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and defended violent Black Lives Matter rioters.
Another critic argued that Hahn’s apology will do little to stop his groupies and sycophants from continuing to spread the lie he’d posted.
