School teacher punished after exposing Critical Race Theory vindicated by damning audio of principal

New York math teacher Paul Rossi, who wrote a lengthy essay that ripped a private Manhattan school for “indoctrinating” students over Critical Race Theory, has been removed from his classroom for the rest of the year even as the head of Grace Church School was caught on tape seemingly agreeing with him over the demonization of white people.

Principal George Davison initially denied making the comments but they were caught on an audiotape which seems to indicate otherwise. Rossi’s essay also accused the school of squelching dissent and fixating on race in its curriculum.

School spokesman Topher Nichols claimed on Monday that Rossi was banned from teaching for the remainder of the year because a number of students were “uncomfortable” in his classroom and wanted to be placed in another one. There was no factual evidence provided that this occurred. Rossi has allegedly been asked to not enter the building without “prior coordination.”

Nichols also stated that Rossi has declined to renew his contract for the coming year but will remain on the payroll for the remainder of this term. An olive branch was offered to Rossi, asking him to sit on a new task force that would ostensibly examine school practices.

Rossi refuses to be placated. He accused Davison of parroting progressive talking points in public while questioning them in private.

“In support of those who will inevitably be scared into silence by seeing the price I am now paying for speaking up, I am compelled to share what you have told me in previous conversations,” Rossi stated in a letter that was posted on Twitter.

Davison reportedly told Rossi that he harbored “grave doubts about some of the doctrinaire stuff that gets spouted at us in the name of antiracism.”

The letter contends that Rossi told Davison that the learning institution was in an advanced state of accelerating academic decay. Rossi claims that Davison echoed his alarm.

The educator went on to state that Davison also had reservations about what he saw as the collective bashing of white students.

Rossi quoted Davison as referencing “demonizing white people for being born” and making white kids “feel less than, for nothing they are personally responsible for.”

“While I cannot know for certain, I suspect that the reason you have not shared these concerns with the broader Grace community is because you know exactly what happens to people who do,” Rossi wrote in his letter. “It is what is happening to me right now.”

“We disagree and that will remain,” Davison wrote back to the teacher on Monday.

“You misquoted me and attributed to me things that I had never said nor would ever say in the press. Your actions were unprofessional and I still defended your right to have a point of view. I will not in an email get into a point by point rebuttal because I know that you are not trustworthy given your past performance.”

A number of Manhattan’s most elite private schools have had similar controversies explode in the last few weeks.

In another lengthy essay, a father named Andrew Guttman accused administrators at the Brearley School of a “cowardly and appalling lack of leadership [for] appeasing an anti-intellectual, illiberal mob.”

At the Dalton School, head James Best announced he would be leaving after many years following an uproar over the school’s pushing of progressive politics.

Prominent conservatives spoke out against these private schools and the “indoctrination” of their students concerning Critical Race Theory.

Candace Owens said on Fox News Sunday that parents should start suing ‘woke’ schools that are bent upon canceling conservative thinking.

She stated: “Parents have to start speaking out, not just speaking out, but suing. You have to start suing the schools because they’re ruining the lives of young children.”

Conservative activist Charlie Kirk also chimed in: “Where are the adults that are going to start to stand up and realize that the next generation that’s standing up for freedom in our country is worthy of protection, in this situation? It takes courage to be a young conservative. It’s time for adults to start to protect young people’s right to organize and speak their mind.”

Journalist Megyn Kelly tweeted: “Omg. It’s right there, on tape. THIS IS UNLAWFUL AND MORALLY WRONG AND A LAWSUIT SHOULD BE FILED IMMEDIATELY. Grace Church parents, don’t you care? Grace Church Board – this is ok w/u?”

She also tweeted: “Paul Rossi got fired for raising a concern that this school was demonizing kids based on skin color. Turns out his Head of School privately admitted Paul’s charges before publicly humiliating him. It’s happ’ng everywhere. Save our schools from this madness.”

“Hey Grace Church Board-it’s UNLAWFUL to discriminate on the basis of skin color. Do u support this?” Kelly added.

Linguist and writer John McWhorter called for parents to step up and let their voices be heard: “What is happening to Paul Rossi is an indication of the mendacity behind this purported “antiracism” infecting the curricula of schools across the country. Here’s hoping at least some teachers, students, or parents at Grace Church can join him in his honesty.”
