In one fell swoop, British commentator Piers Morgan managed on Friday to jettison any ounce of good will he’d earned from taking on universally despised “woke princess” Meghan Markle.

Responding to the latest mass shooting, which had occurred a day earlier in Indianapolis, Morgan posted a tweet accusing all “Americans” of not caring about mass shootings and their innocent victims.

“I wish Americans would stop pretending to be ‘shocked’ by the country’s unrelenting procession of mass shootings. You can’t be ‘shocked’ when something keeps happening that you do nothing to stop. Just admit you don’t care enough to act, because you love guns too much,” he bluntly wrote.

Look:

As of Saturday afternoon, the tweet boasted a ratio — albeit a small one. The replies were mixed, with a surprising number of judgmental non-Americans like Morgan complaining about America’s constitutionally guaranteed rights.

But also among the replies were plenty of bona-fide Americans annoyed by Morgan’s insistence on taking away their right to not only defend themselves from criminals and predators, but from the increasingly authoritarian government as well.

Look:

But it’s not likely that Morgan will heed any of the public’s arguments. He’s been screeching about the United States’ Second Amendment rights for years.

In fact, nearly every time a major mass shooting occurs, he pops up to lecture the American people about why their freedoms are somehow bad.

The idea from him is that the United States would apparently be a better place if it abolished its freedoms and pursued a more controlled environment like the U.K. Yet some would note that his own country is so stunningly unfree that proposals to prosecute Brits for spouting so-called “hate speech” within their own homes were seriously considered not too long ago.

Meanwhile, over the past couple of years, Brits have reportedly been investigated and reported to the International Criminal Court offensive for tweeting offensive hashtags, for body-shaming and just for being mean.

Morgan knows all about this lack of freedom because he recently became a victim of it after he dared to criticize “woke princess” Meghan Markle.

“U.K. media regulator Ofcom has launched an investigation after more than 41,000 people wrote in to complain about ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’ host Piers Morgan’s comments on Meghan Markle,” Variety magazine reported on March 9th.

In a statement, Ofcom claimed Morgan may have committed an apparent crime under the nation’s “harm and offense rules.”

In America, it’s not a crime to be offensive. Likewise, in America it’s not a crime to own weapons, though Morgan — a man whom some say should know better — believes it should be.

But as noted by his critics, he’s not an American citizen — he’s just a permanent resident — and so what he wants doesn’t necessarily matter.
