The Biden administration continues to disincentivize the getting of a coronavirus vaccine by acting as if obtaining a vaccination brings with it no benefits.
Case in point: Both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris double-masked as they hosted Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga at the White House late Friday afternoon.
Suga was the administration’s first visitor. Yet despite him being the first visitor, his visit seemed like a dreary affair because of all the coronavirus restrictions that Biden and Harris felt compelled to abide by.
“Biden and Suga both wore face masks and practiced social distancing, as did their entourages. The meal usually served at high-level gatherings was scrapped. Only a handful of journalists were allowed into the Rose Garden news conference at the end of the daylong visit – and those who were let in were spaced apart,” USA Today reported.
The visit was so impersonal that they may well as have just spoken via Zoom.

While it’s difficult to be certain, it appears as if the Japanese delegation only wore one mask, save for Suga, who did seem to be wearing two masks.
Suga received the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine on April 6th, according to The Japan Times. Because it reportedly takes two weeks after the second dose for the Pfizer vaccine to take effect, Suga did seem, for his part, have a valid excuse for mask-wearing.
But both Biden and Harris received their vaccinations way back in December, meaning there was apparently no valid reason for them to mask up. This, in turn, raised concerns about the message they’re sending to the public about the vaccine’s efficacy:

Over in Florida, on the other hand, Gov. Ron DeSantis has been praised for his completely opposite messaging.
“My view is, if you get a vaccine, the vaccines are effective, you’re immune, so act immune. If you tell people the opposite, then gee, if it’s not effective for them, and it’s not going to change anything, then what’s the point of going through it?” he said during a briefing earlier Friday afternoon.

His thinking — and it’s one shared by a growing number of critics — is that when public officials continue to mask/double-mask and social distance after being fully immunized from the coronavirus, they send the message that it’s not worth it to get the vaccine, especially given the reported potential risks.
Anti-vaxxers must be overjoyed that some of the biggest vaccination proponents are pushing messaging that life barely changes after taking it.

Speaking on the matter earlier in the week, Fox News host Tucker Carlson bluntly asked, “At some point, no one’s asking this, but everyone should be, what is this about? If vaccines work, why are vaccinated people still banned from living normal lives? Honestly, what’s the answer to that?”
Yet there has been no answer from anyone in the Biden administration, including its top coronavirus “expert,” Dr. Anthony Fauci …
