U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) has admitted endorsing false claims in a third-party activist group’s email that was sent out addressing the new Georgia voting law five days after it was passed and signed into law.
An email from a liberal nonprofit group called 3.14 Action was flagged by the The Washington Post. It was signed by Warnock. The media outlet referenced the email as an example of Democratic misinformation in connection to Georgia election reforms.
“Sen. Raphael G. Warnock, one of two new Democratic senators representing Georgia, signed an email sent out by the advocacy group 3.14 Action after the law passed, which claimed it ended no-excuse mail voting and restricted early voting on the weekends — also early proposals that did not become law,” the Washington Post noted.
The bill that passed actually expands early voting in the state to 17 days, including two Saturdays. No-excuse absentee voting is still permitted but with a tighter window of 67 days to apply.

The email was sent out on March 30. That was five days after Gov. Brian Kemp signed the bill into law.
Warnock’s spokesperson told Fox News that the email was approved before Kemp signed the bill into law and while the provisions were still being mulled over. The incident was further justified by stating that the Georgia Senate passed a bill that ended no-excuse absentee voting in March and the Georgia House proposed restricting weekend early voting. But neither made it into the final bill.
President Joe Biden and other Democrats have referred to the bill as “Jim Crow on steroids.” Republicans contend that the bill strengthens voter integrity and restores faith in the state’s electoral process.
Warnock is not the only Democrat to make false claims regarding the Georgia voting law. Biden has earned Four Pinocchios from the Washington Post for repeatedly disseminating false information over it.

Dozens of corporations have spoken out against the new law and the MLB has moved the All-Star Game out of the state due to liberal pressure over it.
Warnock claimed to be disappointed over the MLB move but predictably blamed it on Republicans. He called it an “unfortunate” consequence of passing the bill.
“It is my hope that businesses, athletes, and entertainers can protest this law not by leaving Georgia but by coming here and fighting voter suppression head-on, and hand-in-hand with the community,” Warnock commented in a statement.
Kemp was incensed over the MLB’s actions: “Major League Baseball caved to the fears and lies of liberal activists. They ignored the facts of our new election integrity law and they ignored the consequences of their decision on our local community.”
On Monday, actor Will Smith and director Antoine Fuqua announced they would be moving their new drama about slavery, “Emancipation,” out of the Peach State. Boycotts are expected to cost the state in excess of $100 million in revenue.
Warnock fully supports HR1, better known as the For The People Act. The bill would ostensibly hand control of elections over to the federal government and is fiercely opposed by conservatives as a massive federal overreach. It is also seen as a brazen grab for power by Democrats with the intention of keeping their party in power permanently.
