Dave Portnoy and sex tape partner Sydney Raines react to leaked video with heads held high

Barstool Sports Founder Dave Portnoy’s sex tape partner, Instagram model Sydney Raines, has come out publicly on social media with a statement clarifying the incident and the unauthorized leak of a video.

The video reportedly shows Portnoy naked, sitting on Sydney Raines who was only wearing a black leather dog collar around her neck. Portnoy can allegedly be seen holding a metal leash in his hand while he yanks her around with it. Raines admits to being in the video and is stating that she is the “one and only true insider to the ‘scandal.'”

“I became aware yesterday that a video has surfaced on the internet and yes, that was me,” she said. “Its [sic] hard to believe that a video from the past is just coming to light but it was never meant to be public.”

“Some might not approve of the video content but it was entirely consensual and it’s unfortunate that it is no longer private,” Raines stated on Instagram, “but we are still friends with no animosity between us.”

Raines went on to say, “People need to realize that we all endure obstacles in our lives and this just happens to be mine. I won’t label this a mistake since we have both taken responsibility for it.” She seemed to be suggesting that whoever leaked the tape would be held accountable: “But the fact that it was leaked and posted without our awareness or consent would be considered the true mistake.”

Raines declared that she will be moving forward and “continue my daily life without vexation.” Her parting signature indicates no remorse for her actions, “With no apologies, Syd.” The Instagram model seems to be taking the whole thing in stride and even kidded in the comments to her post. “I approve this message,” she wrote to someone who suggested she do a podcast called “Collar Daddy.”

“Just glad your neck is ok!” someone else wrote. Raines quipped: “If you know a good chiropractor let me know!”

Portnoy also had something profane to say after the company that partially owns Barstool Sports, Penn National Gaming, had their stock take a significant drop after the video was leaked: “A stock is down because somebody has consensual sex? Are you f–king kidding me?” He also said that it is a “federal crime” to watch or post the video.

He went on to urge his 2.4 million followers to buy shares while they were cheaper: “I would jump on this dip and I would f–k it,” Portnoy snarked. “No pun intended.” He claims he owns a “ton” of stock in the company. They reportedly paid $136 million for a 36 percent stake in Barstool Sports.

“Penn stock is down because there’s a f—ing sex tape of me? Hey, news flash: It’s the third f—ing one,” Portnoy proclaimed.

“What are you gonna f—ing do?” he asked. “It’s the internet. So I have sex. People f—ing know that.”

Portnoy unapologetically told FOX Business that “there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the dated video besides the fact that it’s being illegally distributed. He said the correlation in stock movement just seems “dumb.”‘

“Somebody committing a crime by leaking an old video of sex between two consenting adults seems like a dumb reason for a stock to go down,” he remarked. “As far as I know, nobody would exist on Earth without intercourse. And anybody who shared or watched it committed a federal crime. It was never meant for public consumption. Either way, it presented a good buying opportunity in my mind.”

The video has since been scrubbed from social media.
