Bidens don’t say ‘Jesus’ in Easter message, use it to push vaccine. Trump gives VERY different greeting.

President Biden gave his first Easter address during his presidency on Sunday. Notably missing from the speech was any mention of Jesus Christ, but he did emphasize that getting a COVID-19 vaccination was a “moral obligation.”

Biden, who is a proclaimed devout Catholic, focused more on the pandemic this Easter than on the resurrection of Christ in his message to Americans. He mentioned the coronavirus multiple times in his address. He referenced God, Pope Francis, and the New Testament, but glaringly did not mention Jesus even though Easter is the holiest day for Christians who celebrate His resurrection.

Many took offense to the snubbing of the central message of the holiday. Notably, the president’s enunciation seemed garbled and slurred during his brief message. First Lady Jill Biden’s statement was much clearer.

“We share the sentiments of Pope Francis, who has said that getting vaccinated is a moral obligation, one that can save your life and the lives of others,” Biden stated. “By getting vaccinated and encouraging your congregations and your communities to get vaccinated, we not only can beat this virus, we can also hasten the day when we can celebrate the holidays together.”

President Trump’s Easter address in 2017 spoke of Christ’s resurrection and much, much more. Including the honoring of Israel and the uplifting of Christians in general. In contrast, Biden’s address stirred more fear over the pandemic and did not address Easter’s holiest of messages.

Easter is meant to be a time of renewal and reflection. It is a joyous holiday that brings Christian families and friends together in their love of Jesus Christ and His message.

A number of critics viewed Biden’s message as an insult to faith and alluded to the fact that he used a religious holiday to abhorrently promote a political message. His urging of vaccinations on Easter may even cause many fewer Christians to be vaccinated.

Biden made it clear that “the virus is not gone” and spoke of hardships due to the pandemic.

“As we celebrate this most holy day, we know many are still going without familiar comforts of the season,” the president said. “The virus is not gone, and so many of us still feel the longing and loneliness of distance. For a second year, most will be apart from their families, friends, the full congregations that fill us with joy.”

There was little optimism or happiness in Biden’s speech. But he was quick to quote scripture: “And yet as the Gospel of John reminds us, the light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it.”

First lady Jill Biden said: “The traditions of Holy Week take us on a journey from sorrow to salvation, reminding us that with faith, hope and love, anything is possible.” Once again, there was no mention of Jesus Christ or of the resurrection.

The overall tone of the address was a vague nod at Christianity and a large acknowledgment of the pandemic, death, sorrow, and dark days ahead.

Meanwhile, former President Trump and first lady Melania attended church services on Easter and received cheers and applause at both their local Florida church and at Mar-a-Lago as the resurrection of Christ was celebrated wholeheartedly. The Biden White House canceled the Easter egg roll this year, but there was an Easter egg hunt at Mar-a-Lago with dozens of children joining in on the fun.

Trump also had a message for his political enemies: “Happy Easter to ALL, including the Radical Left CRAZIES who rigged our Presidential Election, and want to destroy our country!” he said in a statement to the Save America PAC.

Biden’s disrespect on Easter was noted by many on Twitter.

Reporter Benny Johnson stated: “Joe Biden does not mention Jesus Christ once in his Easter message, mentions Coronavirus 7 times. Tells you everything you need to know about what the modern Left worships.”

Conservative pundit and author Jack Posobiec nailed Biden succinctly: “‘Devout Catholic’ Joe Biden Does Not Mention Jesus Christ at All in His ‘Easter’ Message.”
