Trump responds to Biden fall, even more dumbfounded: ‘I watched and said ‘I didn’t lose to HIM’

It appears that President Joe Biden stumbling and falling three times in a row while trying to board Air Force One on Friday has his predecessor convinced that he did not win the 2020 presidential election fairly and squarely.

Video footage that surfaced on social media Saturday, a day after Biden’s great fall, showed former President Donald Trump speaking somewhere — it may have been his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, but it’s unclear — about the 2020 election.

I watched as Joe Biden went up the stairs today. And I said, ‘I didn’t lose to him,’ which, we didn’t lose to him. Almost 75 million votes and probably a lot more than that,” he said in the clip, which was apparently recorded Friday.

Standing next to him was Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Just to clarify, and also, more importantly, to keep Facebook’s liberal fact-checkers away, the former president did in fact lose the 2020 presidential election.

That said, Trump remains wholly convinced the election was “rigged” and said as much in a statement released through the Save America PAC on Saturday.

View the statement below:

The statement was published in response to a Friday report by The New York Times that accused Republicans of making “his biggest fabrication their top priority.”

The Times’ extremely biased thesis was that because the GOP is attempting to pass election security laws on the state level — think voter ID laws, strict mailing ballot rules, etc. — they are feeding Trump’s theory that the 2020 election was rigged.

“Voters in Georgia who were disillusioned after Mr. Trump’s defeat — many of whom believed his far-fetched and debunked claims of voting by pets, dead people and other irregularities — helped cost Republicans control of the Senate,” the paper wrote.

“Georgia Republicans are now pushing a raft of new voting restrictions that Democrats have called political payback under the guise of ‘election integrity.'”

The Times also accused the conservative activists who’re helping promote these efforts of being grifters who’re trying “to raise money and keep voters engaged.”

The Times’ reporting was almost pure propaganda. Last summer, a family in Atlanta did receive a voter registration in the mail for their dead cat.

And there were in fact a noticeable number of cases of dead people also receiving ballots and a noticeable number of cases involving clear-cut irregularities.

Enough cases, in fact, that Congress held hearings over the matter:

This doesn’t prove that Trump lost the 2020 election, but it does suggest that merely improving election security and integrity might be a good thing.

Dovetailing back to the former president, he began his statement by summarizing the Times’ piece.

“The New York Times did a story today saying that various Republican groups, many of them outstanding, are rallying on false claims that conservative activists are finding that the best way to raise money and keep voters engaged is to make Donald J. Trump’s biggest fabrication, Election Fraud, their top priority,” he said.

He then turned to arguing that the GOP’s election security efforts are justified because the 2020 election “was rigged.”

“Sadly, the Election was Rigged, and without even going into detail, of which there is much, totally game changing. Democrats could not get Republican Legislatures in Swing States to approve many of the voting changes which took place before the Election, which is mandated under the Constitution of the United States,” he said.

“For that reason alone, we had an Illegitimate Election. The Supreme Court and other Courts were afraid to rule, they were ‘gutless,’ and will go down in history as such. No wonder so much money is being raised on this issue, and law-abiding people have every right to do so!”

This view is not shared by Republicans both in Congress and on the state level, all of who have made it clear they accept Biden as their legitimate president and are pushing for election security laws simply because it’s the right thing to do.

“Put in photo ID on absentee votes by mail, just like we do for our in-person voting. I think most of our citizens think that that is very reasonable,” Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp said last month in defense of proposed legislation to require photo ID for mail-in balloting, as reported by station WTVY.

“To make sure that we protect and secure the sacred right that we have to cast a ballot. To do that secretly, and make sure it’s counted,” he added.

Indeed, polls have repeatedly shown that a majority of Americans, including Democrats, support voter ID laws. Going by the Times’ stunningly biased logic, however, this must mean they all think that the 2020 election was rigged …
