CBS talk show host Sharon Osbourne has apologized and is now being investigated by CBS, an American company, for the supposed crime of defending both herself and British commentator Piers Morgan from dubious, convoluted allegations of racism.
“We are committed to a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace. All matters related to the Wednesday episode of ‘The Talk’ are currently under internal review,” the network said in a statement to Deadline magazine Hill on Friday.
The statement was issued hours after Osbourne posted an apology to Twitter.
“To anyone of color that I offended and/or to anyone that feels confused or let down by what I said, I am truly sorry. There are very few things that hurt my heart more than racism so to feel associated with that spun me fast!” the apology reads.

The veritable cancellation of Osbourne, which comes as no surprise amid a culture that now prioritizes racial grievance over facts and logic, was provoked by her standing up for Morgan during Wednesday’s airing of CBS’s “The Talk.”
“Why is it that because I supported a long-time friend and work colleague of mine for years that everybody goes, if you support him, then you must be racist because he’s racist?” she bluntly asked during the program, as reported previously.
She wasn’t suggesting that Morgan is racist. It’s just that he’s been accused of being racist for daring to criticize “woke princess” Meghan Markle and question the validity of her claims that she was once suicidal because of the Royal Family’s alleged racism.
“I’m sorry, I don’t believe a word she said, Meghan Markle. I wouldn’t believe it if she read me a weather report,” he’d said earlier in the week.
Osbourne didn’t perceive this criticism as racist, in part because she knows Morgan and thus recognizes that he’s not a racist. But for the apparent crime of simply defending the British commentator on Twitter (look below), she too came under fire.
. @piersmorgan I am with you. I stand by you. People forget that you’re paid for your opinion and that you’re just speaking your truth.

And so on Wednesday on “The Talk” she tried to explain her side of the story, but in response black co-host Sheryl Underwood began lecturing her about so-called “white entitlement.”
“[Morgan] doesn’t want to understand how Meghan was treated was racism and then says, ‘I don’t see it as being racist, I don’t believe what she’s going through.’ It’s that white entitlement, privilege that makes it racist upon itself,” she said.
“So if you’re saying ‘I stand with you,’ how do you address people who say then you are standing with racism? I’m not saying that you are,” she then asked Osbourne.
This led to Osbourne fiercely firing back:

And for fiercely firing back and defending her position, the accusations of racism only further ballooned and the hashtag #FireSharonOsbourne predictably went viral.

An example of white privilege, BIPOC shouldn’t have to educate you why those actions are racist or have racist remarks, you can do it yourself, google is free. She is getting deffensive, offended, she feels is the victim and she doesn’t see a problem #TheTalk #FireSharonOsbourne https://t.co/L1w7ylHDNk

It is imperative that @MrsSOsbourne be held accountable 4 her incessant racist behavior. Like many white women far and wide she has been allowed 2 slide for far too long. Her opinion is of no value, and she is a menace to the workplace, and the @CBS platform. #FireSharonOsbourne

@MrsSOsbourne should have been fired long ago – her behavior towards others has been problematic and reprehensible. @sherylunderwood did what we black women do to keep our sanity…rose above it with dignity even when that #whitewomanweaponising cry starts. #FireSharonOsbourne

That DB needs to be FIRED!
She can take her EMPTY apology & shove it up her butt‼️
An apology is supposed to have sincerity, meaning, & feelings behind it. This is empty PR @CBS crap 💩 #FireSharonOsbourne NOW‼️— LIgirl (@longisland82) March 13, 2021
Notice how all the people accusing Osbourne of being racist keep using racist terminology like “white privilege” and “white entitlement.”
In an interview Saturday with Variety magazine, Osbourne for her part claimed that she’d been “blindsided” by the whole ordeal.
“I blame the network for it. I was blindsided, totally blindsided by the whole situation. In my 11 years, this was the first time I was not involved with the planning of the segment,” she told the magazine.
According to Variety, “Osbourne says about eight minutes before the show began on Wednesday, a showrunners called and ask her if it was OK if they asked about Morgan.”
But she certainly wasn’t expecting the type of questions and accusations that wound up being tossed out by Underwood.
It’s not clear what’ll happen going forward, though one thing is clear: Osbourne and Morgan’s supporters are all in agreement that she should have never apologized to the mob of raging “woke” leftists.
Never capitulate to the woke mob, Sharon.
You were right to challenge unsubstantiated claims of racism toward @piersmorgan and by extension yourself.
You can’t prove you’re not racist, you can’t prove a negative. The burden of proof is on them.
Stand strong, we’re with you.💪
