Unhinged left freaks over CPAC’s alleged ‘Nazi’ stage as cancel culture targets Hyatt, hotel chain offers epic reply

A stunning number of mainstream figures on the arguably radicalized left are trying to cancel Hyatt Hotels for hosting this year’s CPAC conference, in part because they genuinely believe this year’s conference pays tribute to Nazi symbology …

To be clear, this isn’t just some fringe conspiracy theory — it’s being touted by mainstream left-wing figures from Hollywood figures like Alyssa Milano and D.L. Hughley to top-level Democrat Party strategists and media columnists.

At issue is a stage at this year’s CPAC that mainstream conspiracy theorists claim was purposefully designed to resemble a Nordic rune that appeared on Nazi uniforms.

This theory is as outlandish as the debunked theory that the OK hand gesture denotes white supremacy. If this theory were true, which it’s not, then America’s first black president, Barack Hussein Obama, would be a white supremacist:

Nevertheless, the latest harebrained theory from left-wingers — i.e., the same people who claim conservatives are dangerous conspiracy theorists — has gone viral among hundreds, if not thousands, of high-profile blue check mark leftists.

Here just a small sample of the insanity:

Notice how most of the tweets tagged @Hyatt. The growing consensus is that Hyatt needs to condemn CPAC and boot the conference from its hotel. However, the billion-dollar hotel chain has instead chosen to embrace actual liberal values.

In a statement emailed to the left-wing bellyachers, the hotel chain touted its interest in pursuing real inclusion, diversity and tolerance — three things left-wingers frequently virtue-signal about yet rarely actually practice.

“We take pride in operating a highly inclusive environment and we believe that the facilitation of gatherings is a central element of what we do as a hospitality company. We believe in the right of individuals and organizations to peacefully express their views, independent of the degree to which the perspectives of those hosting meetings and events at our hotels align with ours,” Hyatt reportedly said.

“Our own values support a culture that is characterized by empathy, respect and diversity of opinions and backgrounds, and we strive to bring this to light through what we do and how we engage with those in our care.”

This strong statement against the insanity provoked an outpouring of rage from the conspiracy theorists, with high-profile figures accusing Hyatt of supporting Nazis.

Look:

Again, these are all fairly prominent people, as evidenced by their blue check marks. Yet you’re extremely unlikely to hear anybody in the press — particularly CNN’s Brian Stelter and Oliver Darcy, who love to obsessively bemoan the Republican Party’s alleged descent into conspiratorial lala land — address this insanity.

The irony certainly isn’t lost on the mainstream conservative figures who’re watching as conspiracy theories flood the mainstream left:

In a statement posted to Twitter, American Conservative Union chair chair Matt Schlapp, the organizer of CPAC, strongly condemned the conspiracy theorists.

“Stage design conspiracies are outrageous and slanderous. We have a long-standing commitment to the Jewish community. Cancel culture extremists must address antisemitism within their own ranks. CPAC proudly stands with our Jewish allies, including those speaking from this stage,” he tweeted on Saturday evening.
