National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci appears to be far more of a rabid liberal Democrat than anyone could have predicted.

It was one thing to discover that he’d sent doting emails in 2013 drooling over then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s supposed “stamina and capability.”

But it’s another altogether to witness how he behaved during an interview Friday evening with the most notoriously unhinged left-wing zealot on TV, Rachel Maddow.

The veritable part-time doctor and full-time celebrity expressed overwhelming excitement over finally having a chance to speak to America’s top conspiracy theorist.

Listen to some of what he’d said below:

I’ve been wanting to come on your show for months and months,” he proclaimed, despite Maddow’s history of being an unreliable purveyor of pure nonsense.

“You’ve been asking me to come on your show for months and months, and it’s just gotten blocked … because they didn’t like the way you handle things, and they didn’t want me on there. I mean, it was so clear when we sent it down — ‘why would you want to go on Rachel Maddow’s show?’ Well, because I like her, and she’s really good.”

Yes, she’s certainly “good” at pretending her “hyperbole” is fact.

He then spent the remainder of the interview trashing former President Donald Trump, a man who’d overseen the development and initial distribution of a vaccine that countless critics had claimed couldn’t be completed by year’s end.

Listen:

“I don’t take any great pleasure in criticizing presidential leadership or the people around the president, but we had a situation where science was distorted and/or rejected, and a lot of pressure was put on individuals and organizations to do things that were not directly related to what their best opinion would be vis-a-vis the science,” he said.

“You know, I had pressure put on me, but I resisted it. And I had to do something that was not comfortable, but I did it, and I had to be directly contradicting not only the president but some of the people around the president who were saying things that just were not consistent with the science.”

As a reminder, Dr. Consistent said this on March 6th of last year: “Right now in the United States, people should not be walking around with masks.”

He eventually changed his “consistent” opinion on the matter but was then caught not wearing a mask while sitting in the stands at a baseball game.

He had an excuse for that as well …

He continued the interview with Maddow by claiming, “I am not a political appointee.”

While what he said is technically true, it’s also true he behaved like a political figure by, as an example, criticizing his then-boss, Trump, while praising his then-boss’s competitor, Biden, only days before the 2020 presidential election.

Then-White House spokesman Judd Deere responded to Fauci’s rhetoric at the time by blasting him behaving like such a partisan hack.

“It’s unacceptable and breaking with all norms for Dr. Fauci—a senior member of the President’s Coronavirus Task Force and someone who has praised President Trump’s actions throughout this pandemic—to choose three days before an election to play politics,” he said.

“As a member of the Task Force, Dr. Fauci has a duty to express concerns or push for a change in strategy. But he has not done that—instead choosing to criticize the President in the media and make his political leanings known by praising the President’s opponent—exactly what the American people have come to expect from The Swamp.”

Deere had been reacting to a Oct. 31 interview in which Fauci praised Biden’s “plan” of “taking it seriously from a public health perspective” and spoke dismissively of Trump’s plan of “looking at it from a different perspective…the economy and reopening the country.”

The irony is that, months later, Biden has finally admitted that his so-called “plan” for dealing with the coronavirus entails doing nothing. Absolutely nothing.

During a speech delivered from the White House on Friday, he specifically argued that Congress must pass yet another round of economic relief for the American people because there’s “nothing” — those were his words — that can be done to stop the virus.

“If we fail to act, there’ll be a wave of evictions and foreclosures in the coming months as this pandemic rages on, because there’s nothing we can do to change the trajectory of the pandemic in the next several months,” he maintained.

Listen:

The abrupt about-face was so stunning that even notoriously anti-Trump former Rep. Justin Amash, who literally quit the Republican Party in 2019 because of his distaste for the then-president, was left flabbergasted.

“Haven’t we been told for months that restrictions and mandates were necessary to change the trajectory of the pandemic in the next several months?” he asked in a tweet.

Restrictions and mandates that Trump had fiercely opposed but that — surprise, surprise — Dr. Consistent had fiercely endorsed
