A Democratic U.S. congressman celebrated the Twitter ban on President Donald Trump by comparing it to the capture of dictator Saddam Hussein.
Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York joined the chorus of gleeful Democrats and the left who were positively giddy over the permanent suspension of the president’s official Twitter account. The newest member of the so-called Squad posted his shocking comparison on Friday with a video clip of a U.S. official announcing Hussein’s capture during the Iraq war.
Bowman had called out Twitter hours before, demanding to know “why is Donald Trump still out here tweeting after inciting a fascist mob?”
After the social media platform announced its censorship of the president of the United States, Bowman followed up with a tweet sharing the video of Paul Bremer, who served as the head of the Coalition Provisional Authority under President George W. Bush, saying “Ladies and gentleman, we got him.”

Twitter temporarily blocked Trump’s account after he tweeted that the “things and events” that unfolded on Wednesday were what happened “when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots.”
The social media giant followed up on Friday by permanently suspending the president’s account “due to the risk of further incitement of violence.”
Before officially taking office, Bowman had spoken last month about how “our current system of capitalism is slavery by another name.” The freshman Democrat had argued that the country has “moved from physical chattel enslavement and physical racial segregation to a plantation economic system.”
The progressive lawmaker has now introduced a bill to investigate if Capitol Police have any ties to white supremacist groups.
I’m introducing the Congressional Oversight of Unjust Policing Act to uncover how the terrorist attack on our Capitol was able to breach the Capitol building.
This bill will establish a commission to investigate the attack, and ties between white supremacists and Capitol Police. pic.twitter.com/nOV8OBbfzc

Meanwhile, Bowman was not alone in his disgusting celebration of Trump’s Twitter ban, as many Democrats and leftists in Hollywood also shared their unsolicited jubilation.
“Great. Now let’s permanently suspend him from the White House,” Rep. Barbara Lee of California tweeted.

“What the f*** took you so long @jack?” “Veep” actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus wrote, addressing Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.
CHURCH BELLS! RING THROUGHOUT THE LAND, SO EVERYONE KNOWS! IT’S OVER! TRUMP SUSPENDED FROM INCITING TO VIOLENCE ON TWITTER!

While the Hollywood elite pat themselves on the back for their part in whining through the last four years, Bowman continued his quest to “look white supremacy in the face,” declaring that removing Trump from office is not enough.
For us to become a truly exceptional nation, we can’t stop with removing Trump.
We need to look white supremacy in the face and we need to deal with it directly. pic.twitter.com/gxU0tpcXj0
