The Hill’s media reporter Joe Concha slammed the credibility of the mainstream media in its glaring lack of coverage on Hunter Biden.
The Fox News contributor spoke with host Shannon Bream Thursday about how the liberal media continues to downplay – and at times, outright ignore – revelations about the son of Democrat Joe Biden and his foreign business dealings.
The biased coverage, or lack thereof, comes even as Republicans demanded this week that incoming acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen appoint a special counsel in order to continue investigating the younger Biden.
During her introduction on Thursday’s “Fox News @ Night,” Bream cited a report by the Media Research Center which stated that NBC Nightly News had “openly scoffed at the idea” of a special counsel. The outlet noted that while NBC only spent 26 seconds on the story, that “was 26 more seconds than ABC’s World News Tonight and CBS Evening News gave it.”

“Let’s play a game where let’s say this was Donald Trump Jr. who was under federal investigation,” Concha said, referring to President Trump’s eldest son.
“Do you think that the aforementioned media outlets that you just talked about wouldn’t be covering this? We have 24-7 cable news – it wouldn’t be 25-7? We would have to add an hour to the day to fit in all the coverage that would go into that,” he added.
He noted how the New York Post story published in October, before the presidential election, was ignored by the media despite evidence from Biden’s laptop computer. News outlets dismissed the “conspiracy theories” and refused to cover the Post’s report on Biden’s laptop and the findings on his foreign business dealings.
“You had the knockout punch from social media that actually censored the story and actually locked people out of their accounts for even sharing it,” he added, recounting how the newspaper was locked out of its own Twitter account and social media users were prevented from sharing the report online.
“Traditional media just poo-pooing it and then social media putting the kibosh on it completely,” Concha said, calling it “quite insidious.”
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton slammed the media this week as well, calling out the hypocrisy in the about-face after they came under fire once Biden acknowledged that he is under federal investigation over his “tax affairs” and that the grand jury probe through the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware has been going on since 2018.
“And now the media, we’re supposed to believe the media’s analysis of this scandal. I tell you what, the American people have been ill-served by the media that purports to represent them. You can’t trust the media to tell you the truth about anything,” Fitton said on Newsmax TV.
New York Post columnist Miranda Devine slammed the mainstream media earlier this month after reports were “actively suppressed.” Devine told Fox News that it was a “ruse” to get their presidential candidate, Joe Biden, over the finish line in November’s election.
A new Rasmussen Reports poll this week found that of likely U.S. voters, 52 percent believe the media ignored the younger Biden’s story in order to help his father secure an election victory. In addition, the poll found that 56 percent of those surveyed “believe it is likely Joe Biden was consulted about and perhaps profited from his son’s overseas business deals including at least one involving a company in mainland China.”
“You have to wonder in the end, when you look at Georgia, and Wisconsin, and Arizona, and Pennsylvania,” Concha said to Bream on Thursday, “all those states that were decided by less than a percentage point in terms of votes, what if this story was fully pursued with the vigor of Russia collusion?”
“Would the result in those states be different,” he wondered. “And therefore would the result of the election be different? I guess we’ll never know.”
