The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) wants to censor academic research detailing the origin of the coronavirus in a desperate ploy to control the narrative.

Two websites for top Chinese universities recently published research referencing a new policy that requires academic papers on COVID-19 to be approved by the CCP’s Ministry of Science and Technology before publication. The papers have since been deleted.

Professor Steve Tsang is the director of the SOAS China Institute in London. Tsang says the Chinese government’s primary focus is to control the narrative about the origin of the coronavirus to deflect blame off the Chinese Communist Party. Public health is a secondary concern, he said.

“In terms of priority, controlling the narrative is more important than the public health or the economic fallout,” Tsang told the Guardian. “It doesn’t mean the economy and public health aren’t important. But the narrative is paramount.”

Tsang said the alleged regulation requiring academic research to be approved by the Chinese propaganda ministry shows that the narrative is more important than public safety.

“If these documents are authentic, it would suggest the government really wants to control the narrative about the origins of Covid-19 very tightly,” Tsang said.

Kevin Carrico is a research fellow of Chinese studies at Monash University in Australia. He agreed that the CCP is trying to minimize its role in the pandemic and rewrite history.

“They are seeking to transform it from a massive disaster to one where the government did everything right and gave the rest of the world time to prepare,” Carrico said.

Predictably, the left-wing mainstream media have become “useless idiots” parroting CCP propaganda in a bid to attack President Trump.

China is under fire after the Wuhan coronavirus spread all over the world.

Experts agree that if China and the World Health Organization had told the truth in January and admitted that the coronavirus could be transmitted through human-to-human contact, COVID-19 could’ve remained a local outbreak and not exploded into a global pandemic.

Instead, both China and WHO’s director, Tedros Adhanom, flatly denied the highly contagious nature of the virus.

Despite the WHO’s insistence that the coronavirus in January was not highly contagious, President Trump imposed a travel ban on China and was attacked as a racist.

WHO director Tedros Adhanom then slammed Trump in response.

The WHO is a branch of the United Nations that’s responsible for “international public health.” As usual, the United States is the single largest contributor to the WHO’s budget. In 2017, the U.S. contributed $500 million to WHO.

Tedros Adhanom, an Ethiopian, is the first WHO director-general who is not a physician. He was elected to his job after China backed him in the May 2017 election. Many observers say this is why Tedros appears to be taking his marching orders from the Chinese Communist Party.

Attorney Gordon Chang, an internationally-recognized expert on China, warned that the CCP has launched an aggressive propaganda campaign aimed at sinking the American economy and blaming the United States for the Wuhan coronavirus.

“They are suggesting that the world is going into a depression because of the U.S. So they are now trying to collapse the American economy,” said Chang, who’s Chinese-American.

Flashback: On January 21, Dr. Anthony Fauci — a Hillary Clinton superfan — told Americans that the coronavirus was nothing to worry about.

“This is not a major threat for the people in United States,” Fauci said on Jan. 21. “This is not something the citizens of the United States right now should be worried about.”
