President Donald Trump has been vindicated for instituting a travel ban on Europe after the World Health Organization declared Europe the “epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Thanks to Europe’s self-destructive open-borders policies, the continent now has “more reported cases and deaths” from the coronavirus than the rest of the world combined outside of China.
Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus — the Director-General of the WHO — said more cases of coronavirus are being reported every day across Europe than in China at the height of its epidemic.

Predictably, the left-wing media and European leaders slammed President Trump as racist (even though Europe is — at least for a few more years — majority-white).
However, Trump was right to institute a travel ban. And honest political pundits would agree.
Dr. Anthony Fauci is an infectious-disease expert who’s overseeing the U.S. efforts to combat the coronavirus.
Fauci has been the director of the NIAID (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases) since 1984 and served under former presidents Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2, and Obama.
Dr. Fauci said thanks to President Trump’s early travel ban on China (in January) and on Europe this week, the United States is “ahead of the curve” on preventing a massive outbreak of coronavirus.

A Nigerian businessman agreed, tweeting: “People traveling from Europe are spreading this virus. Trump was right placing a travel ban.”
People traveling from Europe are spreading this virus.
Trump was right placing a travel ban, and I think other nations should follow too.

Another person observed: “It was very smart and prescient for President Trump to ban all entry from Europe just as he banned entry from China way back in January. America would be exactly like Italy right now if a Democrat was President.”
So I guess it was very smart and prescient for President Trump to ban all entry from Europe just as he banned entry from China way back in January. America would be exactly like Italy right now if a Democrat was President. That’s just the real truth.

Decorated combat veteran Sean Parnell tweeted: “A temporary travel ban from Europe was the right call. Donald Trump took decisive action here and was heavily criticized for it. But it was the right call.”

The media and unhinged leftists slammed President Trump as xenophobic and racist for trying to protect Americans from the coronavirus.
In contrast, many leftists praised African countries for moving to restrict travel from Europe to stop the spread of the virus. This week, Uganda deported 22 tourists who had flown into the country.

What’s especially laughable are Europeans leaders complaining that the United States did not consult them before instituting the travel ban. Since when does the American president need the permission of European bureaucrats before doing something to protect Americans?
If Trump had consulted them beforehand, they would have protested and the temporary travel ban wouldn’t have taken effect.
Besides, since many deadbeat European countries don’t even pay their fair share of the NATO budget or the United Nations budget, who the hell are they to tell the United States what to do?
“The Five” co-host Jesse Watters said President Trump’s decision to mobilize the private sector to work with the federal government to combat the coronavirus was a genius move.
“A lot of the CDC criticism was justified because they weren’t ratcheting up these test kits fast enough,” Watters said. “But Dr. Fauci explained that the CDC was not designed for a nationwide testing operation. It was never designed for that! Those systems were not in place under ANY administration.”
Watters added: “So the fact that Trump was able to do this with the private sector that quickly [was a great move].”
