Reality TV star Kim Kardashian praised President Trump’s campaign to reform criminal-justice laws, saying she’s “happy” with the tremendous strides he has made to help deserving Americans.

Kardashian made the remarks during an ABC interview, where she was asked if she was offended that Trump’s Super Bowl ad featuring Alice Marie Johnson did not mention her.

In 2018, President Trump commuted Johnson’s life sentence in jail after Kardashian petitioned the White House on her behalf.

ABC News’ Sara Haines — a former co-host of “The View” who hates Trump — tried to goad Kim into badmouthing Trump.

Haines asked: “Speaking of Alice Marie Johnson, there was a Super Bowl ad about her. You weren’t mentioned in the ad. When I hear that name, I always think of you. Was that hurtful at all to not be mentioned?”

Kardashian replied: “No, not at all! I’m just so happy for Alice, that she’s getting that recognition. And honestly, I’m happy that the President is really backing the issue because there’s so much [that] has to be changed. And to put out a commercial like that — supporting that issue — is amazing.”

Alice Marie Johnson is a 64-year-old grandmother who was sentenced to life in prison for a first-time, nonviolent drug offense in 1996. In June 2018, thanks to Kardashian’s efforts, President Trump commuted Johnson’s sentence after she had served 21 years in jail.

During the Super Bowl, Trump aired a commercial spotlighting Johnson’s story.

In the commercial, Johnson gushes: “I’m free to hug my family. I’m free to start over. My heart is just bursting with gratitude. I want to thank President Donald John Trump! Hallelujah!”

In recent years, Kim Kardashian has used her celebrity to help people. Kardashian is not a Trump supporter, but she has visited the White House on behalf of causes dear to her heart.

In January 2019, Kardashian thanked President Trump on Twitter for signing criminal-justice reform legislation that secured the release of a Tennessee man.

Trump signed the First Step Act in December 2018, ushering in commonsense reforms to make the justice system fairer and help nonviolent former inmates successfully transition back into society.

The legislation has been widely praised (even by Trump-haters) for benefiting black Americans, who are disproportionately impacted by the criminal-justice system.

Kim Kardashian’s husband — rap icon Kanye West — is a Trump supporter who has been viciously attacked by the media and by leftists as an “Uncle Tom” and a “token Negro” for saying he “loves Donald Trump.”

Kanye and Trump have been friends for years — preceding his tenure as President.

Kanye says the media foments anti-Trump animus to the point where Trump supporters get verbally abused and even physically attacked.

“Have you ever been beaten up in high school for wearing the wrong hat?” West asked. “Liberals bully people who are Trump supporters [and treat them like enemies of America]! You can’t just go and wear the hat.”

Kanye noted that he works with some people in the entertainment industry who voted for Trump but they’re “scared for life to tell anyone.”

Kanye says he won’t be intimidated by the Left into disavowing his friendship with President Trump.

In September 2018, Kanye revealed that he was bullied by “Saturday Night Live” executives for wearing a MAGA hat when he hosted SNL.

“They bullied me backstage!” West recounted. “They said, ‘Don’t go out there with that hat on.’ They bullied ME! You can’t tell me what to do.”

Kanye continued: “Blacks want always Democrats. It’s their plan: to take fathers out of the home and promote welfare. That’s the Democratic plan.”
