Scorn from ‘unlikable elites’ sets Trump up to win: Steve Cortes pounds Rick Wilson on MSNBC

Former Trump campaign operative Steve Cortes tore into notoriously anti-Trump pretend Republican consultant Rick Wilson this Saturday, bashing him over and over again for his snooty elitism and arguably repulsive personality.

According to reports, their discussion on far-left MSNBC practically began with fireworks, with Wilson reportedly describing President Donald Trump as America’s “first thug” president and comparing the president’s supporters to Nazis.

FYI, it was Wilson’s beloved former President Barack Hussein Obama who literally invited gangster rappers — one of whom was on house arrest at the time — to the White House in 2016. Just saying.

Later in the discussion, he delivered a condescending rant about how congressional Republicans suffered big losses in the 2018 midterms allegedly because of their fear-based refusal to stand up to the president.

In response, Cortes began pummeling him like a piñata.

“So Rick continues with these insanely insulting terms,” he began, inspiring the always-crude Wilson to mock him with fake tears. “And by the way, I will tell you this. I wear your scorn as a badge of honor. I really do.”

And this kind of condescension from unlikable elites is one of the reasons we won in 2016 and a reason we’re going to win again. But for you to compare hundreds of thousands of Americans who have been to these Trump rallies, these wonderful Trump rallies, for you to compare them to Nazis, for you to call us crazies, the last time I was on TV with you, you called Trump voters toothless rubes.

Fact-check: TRUE.

Ever since Trump announced his candidacy in 2015, Wilson has disparaged the now-president’s millions upon millions of white, black, Hispanic, Native American Indian, Southeast Asian Indian, etc., supporters with every vile term imaginable.

“[T]he wall has always been a con for Donald Trump’s credulous rube ten-tooth base,” Wilson said on CNN last year. “The wall has always been a scam. It has always been a lie. Nothing about the wall has ever been real, and Donald Trump knows it. He is a guy who has a long history in his career of being a conman.”

The facts show that the erection of border walls does coincide with a reduction in illegal alien crossings. The facts also show that problems with oral health tend to mostly affect those who live in poverty, not that Wilson cares. Yet like most far-left radicals, he considers himself to be a loving, tolerant, civil man.

His equally disrespectful tweets suggest otherwise:

He’s been particularly foul toward Trump-supporting, working-class white voters, whom he’s claimed without question are all racists who hate brown people.

“[Trump’s core supporters] want anybody who’s darker than a latte deported,” he said last year on CNN again. “They’re not happy about immigration of any kind.”

It’s not clear whether he’s aware that 28 percent of Latinos reportedly voted for Trump in 2016 and up to 30 percent are expected to vote for him in 2020.

It’s also not clear whether he’s aware that, according to a CBS News/YouGov poll published two years ago, 40 percent of black Americans felt that illegal alien families deserved to be deported to their home countries.

But given how often Wilson speaks on CNN and MSNBC, both of which are far-left networks that routinely downplay or ignore facts inconvenient to the Democrat Party’s preferred narrative, it’s unclear if he’d even care about these numbers.

What’s known for certain is that his disdain for both working-class Americans and actual facts hasn’t earned him too many fans:

“For you to use all of these terms of derision and all this condescension, it only reinforces the need unfortunately that we have, the need in this country to have the electoral revolt of the America First movement,” Cortes continued during their discussion Saturday.

“Yes, we needed somebody to lead that movement who is a fighter. And yes at times he is indelicate and brash, okay? He at times can be offensive, but he has also produced results for this country like we have never seen before in only three short years, particularly for the people who needed it most, working-class people, minorities, people with less education, and all the while kept America out of disastrous foreign intervention. That is the America First agenda.”

It’s not clear what results Wilson and his brand of condescending elitism have every produced for anybody in America …
