Fox News host Steve Hilton said President Trump does not get enough credit for forcing Iran to back down after it vowed bloody revenge for the U.S. killing of terrorist warlord Qassem Suleimani.
Hilton is an Oxford University alum who was previously a top adviser to former British prime minister David Cameron. Hilton says Trump’s hybrid approach toward governance and foreign policy is a potent combination of “traditional conservative ideas with positive populism.”
Hilton said on his show “The Next Revolution”: “I don’t think there has been proper recognition of what this president is doing. It’s completely different than what we’ve seen before. It doesn’t fit into the traditional ideological boxes. That’s why they waste our time with pointless political games like impeachment.
“We saw the new approach clearly with Iran. The Democrats, never-Trumpers and their media lackeys lurched wildly from calling Trump ‘weak’ to branding him a warmonger.
But his strategy has been consistent from Day One: He’s anti-war, but he’s also anti-weak. He doesn’t want to invade deserts of sand, but he doesn’t want to put his head in the sand like the isolation nuts, either.
He was the same with Syria. You saw this with North Korea. The same with China — tough tariffs, but look what’s happening next week: They’re coming here to sign a deal.
This is the Trump revolution. Pragmatic. Non-ideological. He approaches issues as a problem-solving businessman. It’s actually a revolution in ideas and it goes way beyond foreign policy.
He’s combining the best of traditional conservative ideas with positive populism. Appointing conservative judges AND criminal justice reform. Cutting taxes AND boosting family leave. Cutting regulations AND cutting low-wage immigration. The result [is an exploding economy].”

Basically, Steve Hilton said while the Left and Never-Trumpers view any retaliatory action toward Iran as “World War III,” Trump’s approach is expedient and practical.
President Trump has repeatedly stated that he does not want the United States involved in more endless wars in the Middle East. But that doesn’t mean he won’t crush an enemy that kills Americans. For some reason, Democrats and their media minions are incapable of nuance or versatility. But Trump is.
Exhibit A: If you threaten America, Trump will destroy you.

Exhibit B: If you show love for America, Trump will praise you.

Despite the nonstop opposition he faces from the media, the Left, and from within his own party, the Trump economy is on fire, with unemployment at a 50-year low.
“And here’s the most important part: Earnings are rising — not just for everyone, but fastest for the low-paid workers — ending nearly 50 years of stagnation,” Hilton said.
Hilton noted that establishment Republicans reacted to all this great news by launching a new super PAC aimed at preventing Trump’s re-election. A group of Never-Trumpers also published an anti-Trump manifesto in the New York Times trashing the President and his supporters.
Hilton reacted by torching Democrats and establishment Republicans for causing the crises that President Trump is now trying to fix.
How can Pelosi or Waters even show their faces? They try to destroy a President who has improved our country but allowed their state to go to 💩…literally!

Hilton explained:
“Who backed the human and economic catastrophe of the Iraq War? Who brought in the disastrous 1986 immigration reform creating the broken system that Trump is trying to fix?
Who let China into the World Trade Organization, devastating American manufacturing to the point where we literally can’t even print bibles in America? Who pushed ruling-class trade globalism that spawned the disastrous NAFTA, putting so many Americans out of work in the heartland?
And who assaulted the American family with policies that collapsed marriage rates and family stability? No, not the ‘Evil Trump.’ It was you — the Republican establishment who did this to America. These Never-Trumpers are apologists for an elitist ideology that is anti-worker, anti-family, and anti-community.”
Hilton said Never-Trumpers can write “whatever pompous, self-righteous nonsense they want in the New York Times. But the establishment Republican Party is never coming back.
“It is dead — killed by their policy failure and Donald Trump’s policy success,” he quipped.
Hilton added, “there’s no constituency left for their ideas, except a handful of opportunists who traded their principles for a contract with Democrats’ cable networks, where they poop off about the President’s tweets.”
Hilton said President Trump has rewritten the rules of politics and reinvented the Republican Party — one that protects its borders, is proud of its country, and stands up for its people.
“After Trump, it will be a different Republican Party,” Hilton said. “And for American workers, families, and communities, that is fantastic news!”
