Led by congressional Democrats who seemingly have few qualms about spouting hysterical, inflammatory and highly dangerous rhetoric, liberals have taken to blaming Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for a school shooting that literally just occurred.
“One person was killed and at least four others were injured in a shooting at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita on Thursday morning,” the Los Angeles Times has confirmed.
“The shooting was reported at the campus at 21900 Centurion Way about 7:40 a.m., prompting a massive law enforcement response. Paramedics swarmed the campus, treating the wounded while authorities combed nearby neighborhoods searching for a 15-year-old boy suspected in the shooting.
As of Thursday afternoon, the shooter had been apprehended, though neither his name, his weapon of choice, nor how he’d obtained said weapon had been determined or announced yet.

Despite the typical dearth of information, given as the shooting just occurred, a stunning number of unhinged leftists had already concluded by 2:00 pm that McConnell (and, in some cases, President Donald Trump) was solely responsible for the reported massacre.

There is a shooting in a Santa Clarita high school with at least five injured, two critically. You know why? Guns. NRA. Mitch McConnell. That son of a bitch has taken $1.2 million in bribes from the NRA to make sure we have no gun control at all. And it’s our kids who get shot.

Mitch McConnell truly is the #GrimReaper. Please someone, anyone GET HIM OUT OF OFFICE. Blood of innocent kids is on his hands. He might truly be the Devil. Trump is too dumb for that. @senatemajldr is the truly evil one. #VoteHimOut

Enough.
Americans have had enough of living in fear. This is our reality because Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell have done nothing to change it.

Message to the #GrimReaper a.k.a. @senatemajldr Mitch McConnell: Take up and pass the House gun safety legislation. How much blood will you have to see before you act?

Note the abundance of blue checkmarks. These are not random left-wing nut jobs. These are verified personalities who’ve been granted prominence and respect by society’s mainstream institutions, including the far-left media.
In fact, take a closer look at the last two tweets above. The first one was posted by current Arizona Democrat Rep. Gabby Giffords, while the latter one was posted by former California Democrat Sen. Barbara Boxer. These are members of Congress.
Meanwhile, another member of Congress, Dem. New York Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, took to MSNBC to suggest that McConnell’s refusal to approve the Democrats’ draconian gun control bills was to blame for the latest school shooting:
Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-N.Y.) blames @senatemajldr McConnell for Santa Clarita shooting: He’s “killing all of those [gun control] bills” we’re passing.

The partisan media often complain about extremism on the right. And justifiably so, because extremism does exist in certain fringe corners of the far-right.
The problem is that, though extremism appears to exist in even higher quantities on the left — to the point that it’s clearly mainstream (view the tweets above) — it’s never spoken of by the media. It’s simply buried beneath headline after headline about “right-wing radicalism.”
In fact, it seems like the only time the media do talk about left-wing extremism is when they openly defend it:
People on the left and in media still refuse to condemn Antifa violence even after the Andy Ngo attack and the terror attack in Tacoma
In fact this article excuses both
“But muh right wing extremism”
Yes they are both bad, condemn violence periodhttps://t.co/eHfvYHLukw

far left extremists exist in government and in media and they continually run defense for widespread violence and terrorism
There is no excuse for defending terrorism, no matter how pathetic the group is, no matter how often they fail, and no matter how bad OTHER groups are.

Is the inherent extremism that triggers school shootings bad? Absolutely. Should it be addressed? Yes. But is responding to extremism with more extremism the right way to resolve this issue? While some on the left may say yes, the answer is no …
And while some on the left may likewise argue otherwise, the fact is that McConnell is not to blame for the shooting in California, a state with some of the strictest gun laws in America:
This is insane. CA has some of the, if not THE, strictest gun laws in the nation. Universal background checks, AWB, included. The suspect is reportedly 15, no known info re weapon. https://t.co/v1HLvLFrPj
